Box Office Surprise: ‘The Amazing Digital Circus: The Last Act’ Delivers Big Opening
The theatrical release of The Amazing Digital Circus: The Last Act has made a strong impact at the global box office, delivering a major opening weekend across the United States and international markets. The film, which serves as the cinematic finale to the popular animated series, premiered exclusively in cinemas on June 4.
According to box office data reported by distributors Fathom Entertainment and Piece of Magic Entertainment, the film earned an estimated $36.6 million worldwide during its opening weekend from June 4 to June 7. The release covered more than 5,700 cinemas across the U.S., Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Mexico.
In the United States, where the film was released by Fathom Entertainment, The Amazing Digital Circus: The Last Act earned more than $20.2 million across approximately 2,200 theaters during its opening four-day weekend. The company reported record-breaking presales and strong demand that placed the film at number three among new releases and number five overall for the weekend.
Fathom Entertainment CEO Ray Nutt commented on the performance, saying, “The Amazing Digital Circus: The Last Act established several Fathom Entertainment presales records and scored a jaw-dropping $20M+ in box office receipts over the first four days in theatres, illustrating the power and appeal of bringing innovative content with established fanbases to the big screen.”
In Europe, distributor Piece of Magic Entertainment reported $12.7 million in opening weekend earnings across 38 markets. The film performed strongly in several major territories, including the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Poland, and the Benelux region. It ranked first on opening day in multiple countries, including the UK, France, and Spain.
In the UK and Ireland, the film opened with $3.5 million from 573 cinemas, placing it among the top five releases of the weekend. Germany followed with $1.93 million from 421 cinemas, ranking third at the box office. France reported more than 157,000 admissions despite a limited number of screenings due to local distribution rules, earning approximately $1.8 million and ranking first on opening day.

Other European markets also contributed strong numbers. Spain brought in $944,000, Italy earned $905,000, Poland reached $1.05 million, and the Benelux region generated $710,000 during the opening weekend.
The film also saw strong results in the Asia-Pacific region. In Australia, it earned $1.4 million from 211 cinemas, while New Zealand contributed $168,000 from 56 cinemas. Both markets placed the film second on opening day.
In Latin America, Mexico delivered one of the strongest results with $2.1 million and 585,000 admissions, ranking third at the weekend box office.
Caspar Nadaud, CEO of Piece of Magic Entertainment, highlighted the significance of the release, saying, “This result showcases that cinemas have a unique power to bring fan communities together. It is also a testament that such releases can scale across territories and deliver outstanding box office results.”
The film is produced by Glitch Productions and created by Gooseworx. The franchise first began as a YouTube series in 2023 and quickly became a global hit, reaching more than 1 billion online views.
This theatrical release marks the first time the series has appeared in cinemas. The Last Act combines Episode 8 with a newly released extended Episode 9, giving fans a feature-length conclusion to the story before its eventual online release.
