‘Camp Rock 3’ Cast Revealed: Who’s Returning and Who’s Joining the Summer Reunion?

Disney Channel’s most beloved musical franchise just made its long-awaited comeback, and the timing feels almost poetic. Eighteen years after the original ‘Camp Rock‘ turned a handful of young performers into household names, the series has returned with a mix of familiar faces and an entirely new generation ready to take the stage.

That combination has been the driving hook behind the entire rollout, with Disney carefully balancing nostalgia against the need to introduce characters who can actually carry the franchise forward. The result is a cast list that reads like a genuine passing of the torch, built around one core question fans have been asking since the sequel announcement first dropped.

‘Camp Rock 3’ premiered on Disney Channel on August 13 and became available to stream on Disney+ the following day, bringing back the Jonas Brothers as their fictional band Connect 3 while introducing a fresh batch of campers vying to become their next opening act.

Joe, Nick, and Kevin Jonas all reprise their roles as Shane, Nate, and Jason Gray, the siblings who make up Connect 3. Speaking about the reunion during a SiriusXM Canada appearance, Kevin described filming the movie while the brothers were simultaneously touring, calling the experience extremely fun and praising the new generation of cast members as remarkably talented.

Maria Canals-Barrera also returns as Connie, Mitchie’s mother and the camp’s resident chef, giving longtime fans another direct link back to the original films. The story picks up as Connect 3 loses its opening act ahead of a major reunion tour, sending the band back to Camp Rock in search of the next big talent among a fresh crop of hopefuls.

Demi Lovato’s involvement became the film’s biggest surprise. Originally announced solely as an executive producer alongside the Jonas Brothers, Disney confirmed just days before the premiere that Lovato would actually appear in a cameo reprising her original role as Mitchie Torres, sharing the news with a simple social media post reading “Y’all miss me? xoxo, Mitchie.”

The film’s new campers include Liamani Segura as the bold and determined Sage, alongside her easygoing brother Desi, played by Hudson Stone. Malachi Barton, known for Disney’s “Zombies” franchise, takes on the role of camp bad boy Fletch, while Lumi Pollack plays cello prodigy Rosie.

Rounding out the new camper lineup are Casey Trotter as drummer Cliff, Brooklynn Pitts as choreography-focused Callie, and Ava Jean as the intimidating influencer Madison. Sherry Cola also joins the cast in a supporting role as part of the film’s expanded ensemble.

Lovato reportedly took the new stars under her wing during production, offering guidance about navigating the whirlwind that comes with a Disney premiere. She emphasized to the cast the importance of protecting their mental health and taking breaks when needed, while also encouraging them to soak up and enjoy the experience.

Director Veronica Rodriguez addressed how the team approached balancing Mitchie’s presence against the new characters’ spotlight, explaining that they wanted her involvement to feel purposeful rather than overshadowing. She noted that Mitchie’s own dialogue in the film, telling her mother that the story isn’t about her but about the new campers, directly reflects that intentional choice.

The soundtrack, released alongside the film’s premiere, includes a new original song from the Jonas Brothers titled “Come On Over.” With both the original films counting among the top ten highest-rated Disney Channel Original Movies of all time, ‘Camp Rock 3’ arrives with a legacy to live up to, and its blend of returning icons and fresh talent seems designed to give it the best possible shot at carrying that torch forward.
