‘Daredevil: Born Again’ is one of the most talked-about upcoming MCU projects, partly due to the fan-fueled hype and partly due to its turbulent production that’s been plagued with everything from SAG-AFTRA strike to creative differences in what the showrunners wanted and what the studio wanted.

This is why several months ago, it was announced that the show would partially be scrapped with a new creative team that would sign their names on the upcoming MCU-based TV show. Dario Scardapane will act as a new showrunner for the series, with Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead announced as the co-directing team.

Following the resolution of the SAG-AFTRA strike, ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ was back on set by January 22, following a short pause in filming, the show returned to set once again to wrap up the filming. We’ve got some pretty amazing action footage and details from the set, as well as a first look at some of the new roles. Now we can say that the filming has officially wrapped.

Central Casting posted a photo to their Instagram account announcing that the filming has wrapped with the following caption:

Our New York Casting Directors Jeff and Stephanie at the Daredevil: Born Again wrap party last night. Here they are with Daredevil himself, Charlie Cox as well as our amazing team of Stand-Ins for this upcoming Marvel series. Congrats on wrapping this production and looking forward to the return of Daredevil.

The show is now one step closer to the ultimate release. Little is known about the overall plot of the show except for the fact that Matt will be starting a new law firm trying to leave his past behind. Wilson Fisk will be running for the Mayor’s office in New York, something that was foreshadowed in ‘Echo’ post-credits scene, and the two will get into conflict once again.

Carlie Cox will return to reprise his role as Daredevil, and D’Onofrio will reprise his role as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin. Jon Bernthal will portray Frank Castle, aka the Punisher. Margarita Levieva plays Heather Glenn, a love interest of Matt Murdock. Michael Gandolfini appears as Daniel Blade, while Sandrine Holt portrays Vanessa Fisk, Wilson Fisk’s wife. Nikki M. James takes on the role of Kirsten McDuffie, and Genneya Walton plays BB Urich, a young journalist. Clark Johnson is cast as Cherry, and Arty Froushan as Buck Cashman. Zabryna Guevara portrays Sheila Rivera. Deborah Ann Woll reprises her role as Karen Page, Murdock’s friend and partner. Elden Henson returns as Franklin “Foggy” Nelson, Murdock’s best friend and law partner.

Wilson Bethel portrays Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter, a psychopathic FBI agent skilled in using objects as lethal weapons. Jeremy Earl appears as Cole North, an officer of the NYPD and member of the Anti-Vigilante Task Force. Additionally, Michael Gaston, Marc Geller, Harris Yulin, and Lou Taylor Pucci have been cast in undisclosed roles.

The show is set to be released in 2025 with so far unconfirmed release date. Have something to add? Let us know in the comments below!
