Jon Bernthal Teases Return to His Iconic Role: “One Batch, Two Batch, Penny and Dime”
One of the most highly anticipated MCU productions is certainly ‘Daredevil: Born Again.’ This is partly due to the fan-fueled hype and partly due to its turbulent production that’s been plagued with everything from the SAG-AFTRA strike to creative differences in what the showrunners wanted and what the studio wanted.
It yet remains unclear how connected ‘Born Again’ will be to the Netflix series, and the majority of the plot remains largely unknown except for the fact that Daredevil will be starting a new law firm, he will face off against Muse, and Wilson Fisk will be running for Mayor. What we do know is that several notable characters from Netflix’s production will be making a return. Both Elden Henson’s Foggy and Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen were seen on set so that settles those rumors. The question of whether Bernthal’s Punisher would return as well remained largely unanswered for a long period, partly due to the secrecy of production and partly due to the actor’s conflicting statements.
Then, a few weeks ago video of him resurfaced from the set of ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ as he takes down what we can only assume is the White Tiger, also confirmed to take part in the upcoming show.
Now Bernthal seemingly dispeled all rumors via his Instagram post seemingly teasing what’s to come by snapping a photo of a children’s book titled ‘One Batch, Two Batch.’
The book is not a real book of course, it was created specifically for ‘Daredevil’ show and the phrase ‘One batch two batch, penny and a dime’ was consistently spoken by Frank Castle and was a painful tie to his deceased family and offers insight into why he became the way he is now.
