Dafne Keen is drawing fresh attention after a set of newly shared photos showed the actor in a sharply tailored white suit, giving fans another reason to keep an eye on one of Marvel’s most recognizable young stars. The images, visible in the post shared by MCU Film News, show Keen posing in an elegant interior and in front of a mirror, with her understated styling putting the focus squarely on her.

The photos arrive at an interesting point in Keen’s career. Since breaking through as Laura, also known as X-23, she has moved between major genre franchises and smaller productions, building a résumé that stretches from superhero films to fantasy television, science fiction and horror.

That Marvel connection remains the biggest reason her name continues to attract attention. Keen first played Laura in ‘Logan’ and later returned as the character in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine,’ where she reprised the role of X-23 for Marvel’s cinematic universe. Entertainment Weekly’s coverage of her return noted that the comeback reunited her with Hugh Jackman and marked her first time reprising Laura since ‘Logan.’

Keen has also made it clear that she has a strong personal attachment to the character, although that does not mean another appearance is confirmed. In an interview with ComicBook.com, she said she would love to return as Laura and described playing the character as the biggest honor of her life, while also saying she believed there was much more to explore with her.

That distinction is important when looking at the attention surrounding the new photos. There is currently no verified information in the sources reviewed here tying the images to a new Marvel production, a costume test or an announcement about X-23, so the pictures are best viewed as a glimpse of Keen herself rather than evidence of an upcoming superhero appearance.

‘X-Men’ Reboot Star Dafne Keen Reveals Just How Wild ‘The Acolyte’ Season 2 Would Have Been

Outside Marvel, Keen has continued expanding her range. Her representation lists ‘His Dark Materials’ among her major television credits, where she played Lyra Belacqua, as well as ‘The Acolyte,’ in which she portrayed Jecki Lon. The same résumé lists ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ with Keen playing Artemis, showing how consistently she has remained involved in large-scale fantasy and genre projects.

Her film work has also kept moving in different directions. Keen is attached to ‘Night Comes,’ a survival thriller directed by Jay Hernandez, with Samantha Lorraine and Alexander Ludwig also among the listed cast; the project was described as following two sisters who escape a catastrophic event and face a dangerous struggle for survival. Her representation also lists ‘The Marshmallow Experiment’ and ‘Whistle’ among her film credits.

Another notable project is ‘Barracuda,’ an action thriller starring Keen opposite Anthony Mackie. Highland Film Group announced that Neil Burger was directing the film, with Adam Mason and Simon Boyes credited as screenwriters, and described Keen’s character, Jodie, as a kidnapped teenager rescued by Mackie’s former smuggler character during a violent cross-border escape.

The project gives Keen another opportunity to work within a high-energy genre framework without simply repeating her Marvel role. According to Highland Film Group, filming began in New Mexico, while the company’s announcement positioned the movie as a major action thriller built around Mackie and Keen.

That variety helps explain why even a relatively simple photo post can generate interest around Keen. She is no longer defined solely by the ferocity of Laura or the intensity of her early performances; her recent credits show an actor moving through different kinds of stories while retaining strong ties to the franchises that first made her widely recognizable.

For Marvel fans, however, the unanswered question remains especially tempting. Keen’s most recent confirmed MCU appearance is still her return as Laura in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine,’ while her own comments have indicated enthusiasm for playing X-23 again without confirming that another appearance is in development.

Until Marvel or Keen provides something more concrete, the latest images remain exactly that: striking new photos of an actor whose career is continuing to move quickly, and a reminder that audiences are still watching closely for whatever comes next.
