Demi Lovato has canceled five shows on her upcoming It’s Not That Deep Tour to focus on her health. The singer, 33, shared the news on Instagram Stories on February 10, explaining that she realized the original schedule was too demanding.

“While starting to prepare for the tour, I realized that I have overextended what may be possible,” Lovato wrote. “To protect my health, and ensure I can give you my all at each show, I need to build in more time to rest and rehearse and ultimately adjust to a schedule with some more time off that will allow me to handle the entire run of the tour.”

Lovato addressed her fans, known as Lovatics, saying she was excited to perform this year but had to make the difficult choice to cancel some dates. The affected shows are April 8 in Charlotte, April 12 in Atlanta, April 14 in Nashville, May 5 in Denver, and May 8 in Las Vegas. “I am so sad to say that I will no longer be able to see you on this tour and I am so sorry to those who planned to be there,” she added.

The tour will now officially begin on April 13 in Orlando, after the April 10 show was rescheduled. Lovato confirmed that all tickets for the Orlando show will still be valid, and tickets for the canceled shows purchased through Ticketmaster or AXS will be automatically refunded. She advised fans who bought tickets through third-party sellers like StubHub or SeatGeek to contact the point of purchase.

The It’s Not That Deep Tour will now run for 18 dates across North America, ending May 25 in Houston, with Adéla as the opening act. The tour promotes Lovato’s latest album, It’s Not That Deep, which came out in October 2025.

Lovato has been open about the physical strain of touring. In a 2024 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, she said, “It takes a toll on your body,” showing that this decision was made with her well-being in mind.

It’s smart for artists like Demi Lovato to prioritize their health, even if it means disappointing some fans. Touring can be exhausting, and taking a break can help her deliver better performances in the long run. Do you think artists should cancel shows for health reasons?
