‘Digimon Alysion,’ Free-To-Play Mobile Version of the TCG Announced for iOS and Android

Bandai Namco recently revealed plans for a new mobile game called Digimon Alysion. This game will bring the Digimon Card Game to iOS and Android devices as a free-to-play experience.
While no exact release date has been shared, the company confirmed that a closed beta test will happen soon, giving players a chance to try it early. More details about the beta will come later.
The game introduces a digital version of the Digimon Card Game with cards known as “DigiAly.” Players can expect fresh content too, including original cards created just for Digimon Alysion. Alongside these, new Digimon and characters will appear for the first time, expanding the franchise with a unique cast and their partner Digimon.
For fans eager to learn more, Bandai Namco has launched a teaser website to keep everyone updated. A short announcement trailer is also available to watch, offering a glimpse of what’s ahead.
Beyond the mobile game, Bandai Namco shared other Digimon updates. The Digimon Liberator comic will kick off a new arc in April 2025, continuing its story online at the official comic site. Another big release, Digimon Story: Time Stranger, is set for 2025 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam.
This game will feature Japanese and English voiceovers and focus on the connection between humans and Digimon from a Digital World called Iliad. Players will tame, recruit, and train Digimon to uncover a mystery threatening both worlds.
These announcements came during Digimon Con 2025, held on March 19. The event also highlighted a special video for the Digimon anime’s 25th anniversary, titled Digimon Adventure: Beyond, along with news about a “Godzilla Vs Digimon” toy collaboration and anniversary merchandise.
Digimon Alysion enters a thriving digital card game market, where titles like Pokémon TCG Pocket have found massive success. With its mix of familiar gameplay and new elements, Bandai Namco aims to attract both longtime fans and newcomers to the Digimon universe.
