Disney’s ‘Frozen 3’ Costumes Just Confirmed the Wedding Fans Have Waited Years For

Arendelle has been quiet on the big screen for a while now, but that changed the moment Disney’s D23 Ultimate Fan Event kicked off this week. The Walt Disney Animation Studios pavilion has become one of the most talked-about stops on the show floor, and ‘Frozen’ fans in particular have plenty to celebrate after years of waiting for new details on the long-promised third film.

Ever since ‘Frozen 2’ closed with Kristoff finally working up the nerve to propose to Anna, fans have wondered exactly how and when that wedding would play out on screen. With ‘Frozen 3’ still more than a year from release, Disney has kept most plot details close to the vest, leaving fans to piece together clues from convention floors, press events, and the occasional cast interview.

That guessing game got a major boost this week when Disney unveiled life-size character displays for ‘Frozen 3’ on the D23 show floor, giving fans their first real look at Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven dressed for what appears to be a formal occasion. Kristoff is shown in a fitted pink dress shirt paired with a royal blue, Arendelle-colored coat and black dress pants, while Olaf sports a matching light blue shirt finished off with a pink bow tie.

The trio’s display sits in front of a striking backdrop featuring tall, pointed architecture that resembles a chapel, further fueling speculation that the scene ties directly into Anna and Kristoff’s wedding. Sven, dressed with his own festive touches alongside his friends, rounds out a display clearly built around a celebratory, ceremonial moment rather than the frostier, adventure-ready looks fans are used to seeing from the group.

The costume reveal lines up neatly with plot details Disney has already confirmed elsewhere. An official synopsis previously released for the film describes Anna walking down the aisle in Arendelle while joining Elsa on a new magical journey, with the royal family also set to welcome a mysterious new member. Taken together with the new costumes, it’s hard not to read the D23 display as visual confirmation that the wedding teased at the end of ‘Frozen 2’ is finally happening on screen.

Elsewhere on the D23 floor, Anna and Elsa were shown in entirely different outfits, suggesting the film will juggle multiple settings and moods rather than centering entirely on the ceremony. Anna appeared in a pink dress with a small cape, while Elsa’s look stayed true to her signature icy blue and purple palette, hinting the sisters may still venture beyond Arendelle’s walls before any vows are exchanged.

Olaf’s voice actor has been dropping his own hints about the film for months. Speaking on Good Morning America, Josh Gad said the threequel stands out from its predecessors in one clear way: “It’s the funniest of the three movies I’ve ever recorded. I’m laughing my butt off.”

Gad also praised the film’s music, noting that songwriters Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, the duo behind “Let It Go” and “Into the Unknown,” returned to write new songs for the film. If the costumes and synopsis are any indication, that music may end up soundtracking one of the franchise’s biggest emotional moments yet.

‘Frozen 3’ is set to hit theaters on November 24, 2027, giving Disney plenty of time to roll out additional reveals before the wedding of the century finally arrives. Given how much buzz this single costume display has already generated, it’s safe to assume D23 won’t be the last tease before fans get the full picture.
