‘Dutton Ranch’ Star Finn Little Warns Fans: “Everybody Dies” in Shocking Season 1 Finale Tease
Actor Finn Little is warning fans that the Season 1 finale of Dutton Ranch will be intense and possibly full of major character deaths. The actor made the comments during a joint interview with Natalie Alyn Lind, where both joked about how dark the ending might get.
Little, who is 20, teased the danger in a light way but still made it sound serious. He said, “At least three people — is it three or four people that die in the finale?” The comment immediately raised attention among fans of the Yellowstone universe, which is known for sudden and brutal character exits.
Natalie Alyn Lind, who is 26, avoided giving clear answers but added to the confusion with her own joking reply. She told Us Weekly, “I don’t want to give anything away,” before adding, “Nobody dies. Everybody dies. .. Oh, wait, they’re all dead.” Her playful contradiction only added more speculation about what the finale might include.
The Dutton Ranch series is part of the larger Yellowstone universe, which started in 2018 on Paramount Network. The original show followed the Dutton family and became a major hit before ending in 2024. Since then, the franchise has expanded with multiple spin-offs, including Luke Grimes’ CBS series Marshals and Dutton Ranch, which launched in May.
The franchise has built a reputation for high stakes storytelling where no character is fully safe. That reputation is part of why even joking comments about deaths quickly gain attention from viewers.
Actor Marc Menchaca also spoke to Us Weekly about the risks of being on a show known for killing off characters. He admitted he often worries about his role. He said, “It’s always a possibility — and I have a pretty good track record of saying bye-bye on a show.”

Menchaca also shared a personal story about how his wife, Lena Headey, once made him a “death reel” of his past on-screen deaths. He said, “It was about 10 minutes and it didn’t even have all my deaths.” He added that this history sometimes makes him nervous when new scripts arrive.
He explained that production secrecy adds to the stress. According to him, actors often receive scripts close to filming and do not know in advance if their characters will survive. He said, “Then you start going through and you’re like, ‘Is it gonna happen next scene?’ Thankfully it has not [yet].”
Another cast member, Juan Pablo Raba, also discussed the uncertainty of working on the show. He recalled reading a script moment where his character appeared to be in danger. He said, “When I got episode 6 and I opened the page and I see Chet walking to me with a gun, my first thought was, ‘Well, it was nice while it lasted.’”
He added that even with the risks, he hopes the show continues for a long time because there is still more story to tell.
Dutton Ranch continues airing Fridays on Paramount+, and fans are now waiting to see if the finale really delivers on the teased chaos or if the cast is simply having fun with viewers ahead of the final episode.
