‘Euphoria’ Star Sydney Sweeney Signs With CAA as Scooter Braun’s Influence Over Her Career Grows
Sydney Sweeney has spent the better part of the past year building serious box office momentum without one key piece of infrastructure that most A-list stars rely on: an agent. The ‘Euphoria’ actress had been operating without acting representation since late 2025, a gap that raised eyebrows across Hollywood even as her career kept climbing.
That stretch coincided with a major shift in her business orbit. Sweeney’s longtime agent, Jennifer Millar, left Paradigm Talent Agency to become a manager at Brillstein Entertainment Partners, taking Sweeney with her in that management capacity while Paradigm continued handling brand and endorsement deals in the interim.
Now that gap has finally closed. Sweeney has officially signed with Creative Artists Agency, ending her agentless stretch and landing with one of the most powerful talent shops in the industry, a move that comes fresh off the box office success of ‘The Housemaid,’ which has grossed 400.5 million dollars worldwide.
On paper, it reads like a straightforward career upgrade. But according to Puck’s Matthew Belloni, the path to that signing wasn’t as simple as it looks, and it involved someone who isn’t technically part of Sweeney’s professional team at all.
Belloni reported that Scooter Braun, Sweeney’s boyfriend and the former music executive behind stars like Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande, inserted himself directly into the process. Citing five separate sources, the Puck report states that Braun went around Millar to arrange a dinner between Sweeney and CAA’s Kevin Huvane, a meeting that reportedly led directly to her signing with the agency over other suitors who had been seeking a similar sit-down.
Braun declined to comment on the reporting, while another source told Puck that Millar and her producing partner were already familiar with CAA’s courtship of Sweeney through prior meetings and didn’t feel the need to be looped in on that particular dinner. Either way, the episode has fueled a broader narrative about just how involved Braun has become in shaping decisions around Sweeney’s career.
That involvement reportedly extends beyond agency representation. Sweeney is said to have parted ways with her longtime publicity team as Braun takes on a more prominent role in her day-to-day decision making, with some reports suggesting he has also pushed her toward endorsement partnerships tied to companies he’s connected to.
Braun and Sweeney’s romance has been closely tracked since it first surfaced following the widely covered Bezos-Sánchez wedding in Venice, eventually going public through a series of Instagram posts. The pairing has drawn plenty of commentary given Braun’s polarizing reputation in the industry and Sweeney’s own high-profile run of brand deals and controversies over the past year.
Sweeney, for her part, has continued expanding well beyond acting during this stretch. Her production company produces movies through a first-look deal with Sony Pictures, with credits spanning ‘Anyone But You,’ the ‘Housemaid’ franchise and the recently wrapped ‘Custom of the Country.’
Whether Braun’s growing footprint in her business dealings becomes a bigger story going forward likely depends on how her next moves play out. For now, the CAA signing stands as the clearest evidence yet that Sweeney’s inner circle looks very different than it did even a year ago, with her personal and professional worlds increasingly intertwined.
CAA, meanwhile, joins a growing list of top agencies expanding their roster of in-demand talent, with Sweeney arriving alongside recent additions like Michelle Rodriguez and Macaulay Culkin. It’s a significant win for the agency regardless of how the deal came together behind the scenes.
