The MCU’s spoiler season is officially in full swing. With ‘Avengers: Doomsday‘ locked in for a December 18, 2026 theatrical release, Marvel Studios has been fighting a losing battle against a relentless flood of leaks that has already reshaped what fans think they know about Phase 6’s biggest event film.

From bootleg trailer footage to alleged full plot breakdowns, the sheer volume of material circulating online is unlike anything the franchise has dealt with before. And with the Russo brothers back at the helm, the stakes could not feel higher.

Leaked Footage Reveals Doctor Doom’s Sentinel Army

A 1-minute, 12-second clip from ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ found its way online recently, pixelated and without sound, but widely believed to be authentic rather than AI-generated. What it shows has sent shockwaves through the Marvel fandom.

The clip begins with Doctor Doom apparently activating Sentinels, as Thor calls Stormbreaker to his hand while Steve Rogers summons Mjolnir. The imagery alone was enough to send social media into meltdown mode.

The leaked footage shows Doctor Doom using Sentinels as part of his plan, with the giant mutant-hunting machines joining a battle involving both the Avengers and the X-Men. Fans reacted immediately, with one X user comparing the assembling heroes to the iconic portal scene from ‘Avengers: Endgame.’

Another fan on X shared: “Doctor Doom controlling Sentinels is the kind of chaos I’ve been waiting for.” Others pointed out that the Avengers, Thunderbolts, Fantastic Four, and X-Men may not be enough on their own, speculating that Wanda Maximoff could still have a role to play.

The X-Men Cast Leak and Magneto’s Mutant Kingdom

The leaked footage and trailer material have also confirmed the scale of the Fox-verse’s return to the big screen. Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, and James Marsden are among the returning X-Men legacy actors, joined by Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Kelsey Grammer as Beast, and Rebecca Romijn as Mystique.

According to leaked details, on the X-Men’s Earth, Ian McKellen’s Magneto will reportedly be “finally ruling Genosha,” having completed his mutant utopia, with his own royal family that includes Variants of Wanda and Pietro Maximoff, as well as his daughter Polaris.

McKellen himself appeared to slip up in an interview, saying that he “did destroy New Jersey the other day,” though it remains unclear whether that event takes place on the X-Men’s world or in Earth-616.

Rumors have also suggested that the X-Men’s Earth is separate from the one that Deadpool and Wolverine reside on, and that Monica Rambeau could play a key role in bringing the Avengers to this reality.

The Alleged Plot Leak: Incursions, Latveria, and Doom’s Revenge

The most explosive material surfacing online involves what appears to be a detailed breakdown of the film’s full plot. According to widely circulated rumored details, ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ reportedly opens on a multiverse Earth where Doom’s origin is tied to the Incursions, events that also led to the death of his family, leaving him disfigured and driving him into his iconic armor.

The alleged leak describes Doom’s true plan as allowing the Incursions to continue so he can rebuild the universe in his own image and resurrect his dead family, a motivation that gives Robert Downey Jr.’s villain a genuinely tragic dimension.

The film’s final act is reportedly set in Latveria, where the Avengers, Fantastic Four, X-Men, Wakandans, and warriors from Valhalla all converge to fight Doom as the Final Incursion begins and universes start colliding. The scope described makes ‘Endgame’ look almost modest by comparison.

With everything destroyed and Doom the only being left with real power, he is said to steal Loki’s powers and use them to create Battleworld, resurrecting the fallen but erasing their memories so they believe his constructed reality is all that has ever existed, with Doom seated on his throne as God Emperor.

Trailers, Posters, and the Marketing Leak Nightmare

The leaked footage is only part of the story. According to known scooper Marvel Hype Insider, ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ suffered a major leak that reportedly includes one trailer, a poster, 17 previously unseen photos, and behind-the-scenes footage.

Marvel had already released four official teasers starting in December 2025, timed to play before screenings of ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash,’ but the studio has been slower with new material since then, making the CinemaCon trailer a particularly hot commodity for fans who couldn’t attend.

Director Joe Russo has acknowledged the challenge, noting that the rise of AI-generated content has led to an endless stream of fake leaks spreading misinformation, making it harder than ever for fans to distinguish real spoilers from fabricated ones. He noted that Marvel has always been stricter with ‘Avengers’ spoiler control than with other MCU titles.

The Russo brothers also addressed a batch of concept art that surfaced on ArtStation in early 2025, with Joe Russo stating plainly that the images were not from ‘Doomsday’ or ‘Secret Wars,’ and Anthony Russo confirming there was nothing spoiling in those materials.

Secret Cast Members and What Marvel Is Still Hiding

Despite the sheer quantity of leaked material, Marvel is clearly holding back significant cards. Kevin Feige has made clear that the cast revealed in March 2025 is not the full lineup, and leaker MTTSH has claimed that younger heroes including Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan, Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop, and Kathryn Newton’s Cassie Lang will appear, setting up what could be the MCU’s future Champions team.

The same leaker also named Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool, Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, Gwyneth Paltrow’s Pepper Potts, and Owen Wilson’s Mobius as additional unannounced appearances, though the extent of their roles remains unclear.

Perhaps the most intriguing mystery still left unaddressed by any leak is why Doctor Doom shares the face of Tony Stark, with analyst John Campea suggesting that explanation will likely be saved for ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ rather than answered in ‘Doomsday’ itself. That is the kind of question that makes every new piece of footage feel like a puzzle piece fans are desperate to place.

With the film still months away and Marvel doing everything it can to contain the damage, the real question now is which of these leaks will actually survive contact with the finished film. What do you think lands closer to the truth: the Battleworld ending, or does Marvel have something even wilder up its sleeve that no one online has managed to crack yet?
