Fans of The Wheel of Time aren’t giving up. After Amazon suddenly cancelled the series, the fan-led #SaveWoT campaign has kicked into high gear. In just one day, the group hit two fundraising goals and passed 124,000 signatures on their petition.

The campaign started a GoFundMe with a $7,000 goal. It didn’t take long to smash that target. Within just a few hours, the goal was reached. By the end of the day, donations had jumped past a second milestone, $16,000.

That money will go toward eye-catching efforts like global billboards and other events designed to get the attention of Amazon, Sony Pictures Television, and any other platform that might want to give the show a new home.

Fans are hoping these big displays of support will show just how much love there still is for the series. On the fundraiser page, campaign organizers left a message for everyone who chipped in. “Dear Statistically the Best Fandom. We’re humbled by your generosity and energy. Thank you for funding the initial goals of this effort! You are all the Heroes of Today!!”

The group behind the campaign runs a site at savewot.com, and they’ve added even more ways for fans to take action. In addition to signing the petition and sharing on social media, people are now being asked to do even more.

That includes writing letters and sending postcards to Sony and Amazon, or to other streaming services that could potentially continue the show. For those who can’t send letters themselves, the site offers links to online tools that will send one for you.

Fans are also encouraged to reach out to streaming services online. The site links to contact forms for five major platforms, asking people to share why they love the show and why it deserves to keep going.

Through it all, the campaign is focused on staying positive. One of the organizers said this isn’t about anger or blame. “This isn’t a campaign of hate. We’re here because we love the show and the way it adapts Robert Jordan’s books. It’s a story that’s sold 100 million copies and we should respect him and the creatives behind the show in everything we try to accomplish.”

With thousands of fans already involved, this campaign is quickly becoming a major movement. The team says they’re just getting started.
