‘From’ Season 4 Episode 8 Release Date: ‘Heavy Is the Head’ Is Coming With Its Most Dangerous Plan Yet
The countdown is on for fans of MGM+’s most psychologically relentless thriller. ‘From‘ Season 4 Episode 8, titled ‘Heavy Is the Head,’ is set to release on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 9 PM ET and 6 PM PT on MGM+ in the US. With only three episodes left in the season after this, the stakes in Fromville have never felt quite so suffocating.
There are only three episodes remaining in the season, and the residents of the Township have nothing but theories that may or may not work. One of those theories, however, has the potential to either free everyone from this nightmare or deliver them straight into the heart of it. The town, as always, offers no safe bets.
The Release Schedule and Where to Watch ‘From’ Season 4
‘From’ Season 4 will run for 10 episodes in total, falling in line with the show’s previous seasons, with each episode releasing on Sundays in the US. The weekly rhythm has been a deliberate choice, giving viewers just enough time to spiral into their own theories before the next gut punch arrives.
MGM+ will remain the exclusive streaming option for all previous and upcoming episodes of ‘From’ Season 4. Viewers who want to watch the series can either subscribe to MGM+ via a standalone monthly plan or get it as an add-on on Prime Video, Apple TV, and other live streaming services. For UK viewers, there are a few ways to watch, including a subscription through Prime Video or watching on Thursdays through Sky and NOW TV.
The episode will exclusively stream on MGM+ and Amazon Prime Video at 12am ET and 9pm PT, and the episodes are accessible on the viewer’s web browser or via the MGM+ app on their connected devices. It is worth noting that some add-on subscribers may get access slightly ahead of schedule.
What to Expect from ‘Heavy Is the Head’
The official synopsis reads that a dangerous plan begins to take shape, and it raises the question of how much Boyd is willing to risk for the chance to get everyone home. Fatima and Henry find themselves at two very different and disturbing crossroads, while Victor helps Tabitha and Ethan prepare for the worst.
Heading into ‘From’ Season 4 Episode 8, it should be abundantly clear that the stakes are now through the roof. Sophia, unbeknownst to all the residents, is actually the Man in Yellow. She reanimated Roger and sent him into Colony House, and has also seemingly planted seeds within Henry. The town’s internal structure is being quietly hollowed out from within, and most of its residents have no idea.
Boyd and company have a few clues about how to escape, mostly because of Jade’s visions and the proof presented courtesy of the tunnel. What remains painfully unclear is whether any plan involving those tunnels can succeed without someone paying an irreversible price.
Boyd’s Dangerous Theory and the Fallout from Episode 7
Boyd is at his most optimistic and convinces the town that a mission into the tunnel to recover the children’s bones is the key to escaping. However, not everyone believes him, and what he does not anticipate is Sophia and the Man in Yellow’s interference.
The theory hinged on whether they can hurt or kill the Creatures using the totem spears from the settlement that Tabitha used to kill one of the giant dolls. But the theory was a bust and only put Kenny’s life in danger after he volunteered to become the pseudo-sacrifice in exchange for Boyd. It was a brutal demonstration of how far good intentions can unravel in Fromville.
‘From’ Season 4, Episode 7 saw Boyd share the truth about the plan with Victor and Henry Kavanaugh, before proceeding to reveal the information to all the residents. The emerging plan to go into the caves and retrieve the dead children’s bones, inspired by Jade’s visions, was also divulged to everyone. The rare transparency was a significant moment for a show built on withheld information.
Victor’s Chilling Discovery and What It Means for Ethan
Near the end of Episode 7, Victor finds teeth in the Man in Yellow’s car. In a panic, he puts the pieces together and reaches a chilling but logical conclusion: Ethan’s presence in town mirrors his own. If history is about to repeat itself, Ethan, like Victor before him, may be the sole survivor of the next massacre.

Preparing for the worst, Victor will likely reveal more about his deeply traumatic and tragic childhood as the season moves toward its endgame. Scott McCord has carried Victor’s quietly devastating arc across all four seasons, and the character now finds himself in perhaps his most haunted moment yet.
‘From’ has cemented itself as a must-watch for horror lovers since its debut in 2022, and the series is created by John Griffin and executive produced by MCU filmmaker Anthony Russo, along with ‘Lost’ veterans Jack Bender and Jeff Pinkner. That pedigree shows in how the show constructs its dread, piece by careful piece.
The Final Two Episodes and the Road Ahead
The remaining episode titles hint at escalating finality, with Episode 9 titled ‘The Calm Before’ on June 21, and the season finale, ‘If a Tree Falls in the Forest,’ landing on June 28. The naming alone suggests a reckoning is coming, though ‘From’ has never been a show that rewards assumptions.
The show is already renewed for the fifth and sixth seasons, meaning the finale will likely end on a note designed to keep fans locked in its gravitational pull rather than offering clean resolution. That is, of course, part of the specific and infuriating genius of this show.
The sci-fi horror series centers on a town where everyone who ends up there is trapped, and while trying to find a way out, they must also avoid creatures that come out at night from the surrounding forests. Four seasons in, that premise has evolved into something far more layered and mythology-dense than its original premise ever hinted at.
Now that Boyd’s totem theory has crumbled and Sophia’s true identity is pulling every thread in Fromville apart, it is worth asking: do you think anyone will actually make it out of the town alive by the time the ‘From’ Season 4 finale rolls around, and if so, who?
