Robert Kojder of Flickering Myth also had issues with the direction of the story. He felt the film moved too far into crime-related chaos and lost some of the relationship-focused comedy that could have made the story stronger.

John Stark from Mac the Movie Guy was more positive, giving the movie a 77/100 score and praising its simple charm. He described it as “silly, scrappy, and sometimes that’s enough.”
