Rockstar Games has officially announced ‘Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album,’ a standalone collection of 34 brand-new, original tracks recorded specifically for the game, marking the first time the franchise has released a dedicated companion album of this scale. The initial batch includes Travis Scott’s “RHYNO,” produced by Daft Punk’s Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, alongside Yung Lean’s “That’s It,” featuring both Future and Metro Boomin. Country star Morgan Wallen contributes “Last Thing You Need,” while reggaeton hitmaker Rauw Alejandro brings “Macacoa 2000” to the mix.
Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards adds “Bright Lights, Big City” to the collection, and one of the most eclectic entries comes from CA7RIEL and Paco Amoroso, joined by PinkPantheress, Fred again.., and Etienne de Crécy on “Sexy Magic.” That combination alone spans hip-hop, country, reggaeton, rock, and electronic influences within a single six-song reveal, hinting at just how wide-ranging the full 34-track album is likely to be.
According to Rockstar’s official announcement, the album’s tracks were specifically crafted to capture the energy of Vice City and the broader atmosphere of Leonida, the fictional state serving as the game’s setting. Produced in partnership with Atlantic Records, the project represents a notable departure from how the franchise has traditionally handled music, relying primarily on licensed needle-drops from existing catalogs rather than commissioning original material at this scale.
The remaining 28 tracks from the album haven’t been revealed yet, with Rockstar confirming that the full collection will arrive alongside the game itself. Fans eager to hear more won’t have to wait too much longer, since the complete album is set to drop the same day as the highly anticipated title.
