This Gwyneth Paltrow Avengers Leak Is So Big That It Could Sink A Ship

When Avengers Infinity War ended, not a sound could be heard in the theatre I was in. The movie, slowly built up over the course of 10 years, spent another two hours preparing its audience for the inevitable. At its conclusion, not only was half the population of the galaxy wiped out but so too were the Avengers.

Characters that we had just met and those who had been with us for a few years were gone. Black Panther. Scarlet Witch. Spider-Man. Gone.

After we had gathered our collective selves, the theatre emptied. I remember walking out and seeing a bizarre combination of sadness and excitement. We had all witnessed one of the greatest spectacles seen in a theatre. Now, all that was left was to wait a year for its follow up.

For one year we have speculated, theorized, and predicted with unknown accuracy what would follow. We have looked through cryptic social media posts, fake news, and anything else that may lead us to any information about what is to come. And thus far, we’ve come up pretty short.

This may have finally ended.

Earlier this week a leaked photo from what looks to be the set of Avengers surfaced. Granted the photo may fall into that fake news category mentioned above but this is unlikely.

A leak that could sink a ship

While we didn’t see whether or not Pepper Pots survived the ill-fated snap, we all assumed that she did. After all, this was the soon to be wife of Tony Stark and if anyone was going to survive outside of the original Avengers, it was going to be her.

The photo clearly shows Gwyneth Paltrow taking a selfie while wearing some sort of suit. Yes, what we have on our hands is a Gwyneth Paltrow Avengers leak. I don’t want to read too much into it but the suit definitely looks like it belongs in the Iron Man collection. And if it does, this only makes sense.

In comic books, Pepper Potts first became Rescue in 2009 on a highly regarded run by Matt Fraction and Salvador Larroca. In this version of the suit and unlike the Tony Stark version, her suit was made primarily for, well, rescue. If it had any sort of offensive attack systems, they were no where to be seen.

Two reasons for Pepper being called to action come to mind.

First, Tony is stranded on Titan and perhaps Pepper is sent out to “rescue” him. Second, the Avengers are short. With the fall of half their team, they can use all the help they can get…even if this means it comes from a hero who had little to no offensive fire power.

No matter how we read into this potential Gwyneth Paltrow Avengers leak, Avengers 4 lands May 3, 2019. If it’s anything like the first, it’s sure to leave us emotionally exhausted.

Cheers,

Joel
