The series is produced by Universal Animation Studios in partnership with Imagine Entertainment and WGBH, and it’s set to arrive on Wednesday, October 1.

Developed for television by Joe Fallon, the show adapts H. A. and Margret Rey’s classic books into two 11-minute segments per episode and previously won Daytime Emmys for Outstanding Children’s Animated Program. Music for the series includes the “Like Curious George!” theme performed by Dr. John, with additional composition by Nick Nolan; seasons 1–9 also featured live-action science shorts.

The production was mounted by Universal Content Productions with filming in New Orleans (pilot) and Vancouver for the series proper. Across five seasons (65 episodes), the show expanded Grossman’s Brakebills/Fillory mythology with plotlines for characters like Julia Wicker, Eliot Waugh, and Margo Hanson, balancing campus drama, quest storytelling, and darker magical threats.

Produced by Heyday Television and NBCUniversal International Studios for BBC One, the show blends procedural tension with contemporary surveillance issues, scoring strong critical notices and multiple seasons. A third series was announced in April 2025.

Casting (as announced) includes Minori Fujidera (Sae), Yūki Ono (Kōki), Hina Yōmiya, Taito Ban, and others. The TV adaptation continues the manga’s run from ‘Bessatsu Margaret’, bringing Kawahara’s contemporary romance style—seen in works like ‘Aozora Yell’ and ‘My Love Story!!’—to screen.

Created by Jon Erwin, this biblical historical drama charts David’s rise from shepherd to Israel’s anointed leader amid King Saul’s unraveling. Season 1 stars Michael Iskander (David), Ali Suliman (Saul), Stephen Lang (Samuel), Ayelet Zurer, Indy Lewis, Ethan Kai, and Martyn Ford; it’s slated here for Sunday, October 5.
