Hideo Kojima Praises Netflix’s ‘Adolescence’

Ever since its March 13, 2025 debut on Netflix, the four-episode mini-series Adolescence has been getting more and more attention. The interesting premise, combined with great acting, as well as the technical aspect, all contributed to the series’ popularity and we can say that it will remain as one of Netflix’s biggest hits.

Among the people who liked the series is Hideo Kojima, the famous Japanese video game designer who brought us hits such as Metal Gear Solid and Death Stranding. In a recent social media post, Kojima praised the series.

Adolescence is centered around the case of a 13-year-old English schoolboy named Jamie Miller (Owen Cooper) who is arrested for the murder of a female classmate.

Through the analysis of the case, it is discovered that the boy was a victim of abuse on social media and related to incel culture. It stars Stephen Graham as Eddie Miller and Owen Cooper as Jamie Miller.

As said, the series has received a lot of praise, and among its fans is legendary video game designer Hideo Kojima, who is known for commenting on films and shows. Here is what he said:
