The Top 10 Hottest Female Characters in DC Comics [Ranked]

Top 10 Hottest Female Characters In DC Comics
Share:

Like many of its comic book counterparts, DC has no shortage of good-looking women.

Am I right? Think about who they have.

  • Wonder Woman
  • Catwoman
  • Stargirl
  • Raven
  • Terra
  • Cheetah
  • Cassandra Cain
  • Harley Quinn
  • Star Sapphire

Just to name a few.

Female characters and DC Comics are like sports teams and good coaches in the sense that one always makes the other better. The problem when there’s so much goodness on one team, it can be hard to figure out who is the star and who are the supporting players.

Note that I said hard and not impossible.

After days of consideration, I’ve created a list of the star players in DC for you.

Here are the hottest female characters in DC Comics.

List of the hottest female characters in DC Comics

10. Talia al Ghul

Talia al Ghul

Talia al Ghul belongs on this list of the hottest female characters in DC Comics for one reason. She managed to seduce Batman into sleeping with her and then after she became pregnant, convinced him that she lost the baby.

That’s right.

She seduced, got pregnant, and then convinced the world’s greatest detective that she lost their baby. If you don’t understand how remarkable this is, remember this. Batman has a file on every member of the Justice League that details how to take them down should they go rogue. He’s the most prepared and “ready for anything” superhero in comics. Yet, with Talia al Ghul he was completely blindsided by her seductive ways.

The worst part is that if Talia tried to seduce me, I’d happily go along too.

9. Supergirl

Supergirl

Like her famous cousin, Supergirl hails from Krypton. As a descendant of Krypton, she possesses all of the same powers and abilities as her famous cousin.

  • Invulnerability
  • Flight
  • Super strength
  • Super speed
  • Energy absorption
  • Superhuman stamina
  • Super breath
  • X-Ray vision
  • Heat vision
  • Heightened durability
  • Super hearing

And more.

Supergirl is one of the hottest female characters in DC because she’s willing to and has sacrificed herself for the greater good. Simply put, she’s selfless and selfless people are hot and something the world sorely needs. Imagine how different things would be if the world was filled with people like Supergirl.

8. Starfire

Origin of Starfire

Starfire is by far the hottest female character in DC Comics that isn’t from Earth. She is immensely powerful. She possesses superhuman strength, speed, durability, agility, reflexes, stamina, and is nearly invulnerable. And she is also able to fly, is long-lived, has immunity to cold and heat, can survive in space, is able to man manipulate ultraviolet energy, absorb and project energy, and emit supernova-type energy.

Starfire is an invaluable member of the Teen Titans. She’s the on and off again love interest of Dick Grayson. And she can beat most of the DC males in battle without even breaking a sweat. What I’m saying is this. Powerful is an attractive trait and Starfire doesn’t lack any of it.

7. Black Canary

Black Canary

Black Canary made her debut in Flash Comics #86 back in 1947. She was created by Carmine Infantino and Robert Kanigher. Of her first appearance, Infantino said this…

“I was drawing Johnny Thunder, which was not much of a character. I suppose he could have been better because his ‘Thunderbolt’ was interesting, but the situations they were in were pretty juvenile. Bob Kanigher wrote those stories, and he had no respect for the characters. These stories were nowhere near as good as ‘The Flash’ stories. DC knew it—they knew ‘Johnny Thunder’ was a loser, so Kanigher and I brought the Black Canary into the series. Immediately she got a good response, and it was, ‘Bye, bye, Johnny Thunder.’ Nobody missed him.”

Black Canary has remained primarily unchanged over the years. Aside from the occasional “who’s under the mask” secret identity change, all iterations have possessed the Canary Cry and have been expert martial artists…a list that she also made a while back

6. Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman Comic

As the greatest female superhero of all time, it was easy to include Wonder Woman in this list. After all, not including her would be a giant disservice to everything she’s done for comics.

Wonder Woman was famously created by William Moulton Marston back in 1941. Although he knew who he had created, it took a long time for readers and publishers to understand it. Once they had, however, she caught on like wildfire and began inspiring girls all over the world. In addition, she began to teach them that women are as powerful or even more powerful than men. She began to teach them that being a woman shouldn’t mean that you’re treated differently. And she began to teach them that there is room for women in the so-called “man’s world”.

I can’t speak for you, but each one of these is both extremely sexy and insanely hot.

5. Mera

mera comics

Don’t let the many charges against Amber Heard change your opinion of Mera. She’s easily the hottest female character in DC Comics that lives in the ocean. Mera is the Queen of Atlantis, the wife of Aquaman, an invaluable member of whatever team she’s on, and the reason that the Aquaman movie did so well in my household.

Mera is immensely powerful. This is so much that she has people like me believing that she’s more powerful than Aquaman. As someone with incredible power, Mera is able to do practically anything she wants with water. This means that she can move it, bend it, heat it, throw it, grow it, turn it solid, cause it to rise from the ocean, and fall from the sky.

But that’s not all…

She also possesses superhuman strength, speed, durability, and is extremely long-lived. For all the above reasons and more, Mera belongs on this hottest female characters in DC Comics list.

4. Barbara Gordon

Top 10 Superheroes That Wear Purple

It doesn’t matter if it’s Oracle or Batgirl, Barbara Gordon is one of the hottest female characters in DC Comics and I’ll tell you why.

Barbara Gordon isn’t a quitter. She didn’t quit when she was denied entry to the Batfamily. She didn’t quit when the Joker paralyzed her. And she didn’t quit when she was criticized for walking again. Nope. Instead, she did whatever it took to overcome adversity. Overcoming adversity isn’t a trait that can be taught. It’s either innate or not at all. Barbara has no shortage of it.

Barbara Gordon is the kind of teammate you’d want on your team any day of the week. She has heart, is compassionate, possesses a genius-level intellect, and is one of the greatest fighters in DC. Making this list isn’t always about looks (although she has those too), it’s about the intangibles. Barbara Gordon is high on the intangibles.

3. Zatanna

History of Zatanna

There are many female superheroes that I love to read in DC. Zatanna is one of them as are a few others are elsewhere on this list.

Zatanna Zatara is the daughter of Giovanni Zatara and Sindella. As a half member of the Homo Magi race, Zatanna is a naturally gifted spell caster and user of magic. Where Zatanna is different from other users of magic is that she casts her spells by saying the spell backward. That is, she recites the spell, word for word, completely backward. She does this for two reasons. First, it pays homage to her magician father. And second, it forces her to concentrate on the spell thereby making it stronger.

Zatanna is easily recognized by her wardrobe. As any stage magician would, she wears a top hat, suit jacket, and fishnet stockings…all of which make for one supremely hot superhero.

2. Poison Ivy

Pamela Isley or Poison Ivy

I love Poison Ivy. It’s the combination of her protection of the environment, the way in which she seduces her opponents, and her green skin that does it for me. I mean, if she tied herself to a tree to prevent the destruction of a forest, I’d chain myself right beside her.

Unlike many of the other hottest female characters in DC Comics on this list, Poison Ivy has undergone serious change over her history. Above transforming herself from a full-time villain into a part-time villain, she has also (although not admittedly) come out as attracted to both males and females and developed green skin.

Poison Ivy is one of Batman’s greatest enemies and has been since her debut in 1966. If you’re interested, we’ve ranked her as his fourth greatest enemy of all time.

1. Catwoman

Catwoman Darwyn Cooke

“Oh, Catwoman. One part of me is in love with your soft and sensual side while the other part is in love with your mischievous side. Is there anyone else out there like you?

What’s that you say?

No there isn’t?

I can’t say as though I’m surprised. You’ve captivated the imagination of readers for decades and managed to solidify your spot as Batman’s main girl.

Catwoman, any list like this should include you, and here’s why. You are the single and sexiest greatest anti-hero to ever force themselves into a skin-tight leather suit. You do what you want to do and you do it when you want to do it. Finally, you are confident, smart, daring, and mysterious. Very few characters can say this and that’s why you’re here and they aren’t.”

And that’s it. The hottest female characters in DC Comics. What do you think? Who would make your hottest characters in the DC Comics list?
