Hugh Jackman’s Stunt Double Confirms Return of Iconic Character in Upcoming Marvel Film

Hugh Jackman shook the superhero world last year with his epic return as Wolverine, and his long-awaited debut in the MCU, in Deadpool & Wolverine. Fans were thrilled, and ever since, speculation has been swirling about what’s next for the iconic mutant in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Rumors have suggested that Jackman might stick around as the MCU’s Wolverine, with possible appearances in upcoming titles like Doomsday or Secret Wars.
Now, it seems we may have confirmation, at least according to social media buzz, that Wolverine will appear in Doomsday.
As many fans already know, Avengers: Doomsday is currently filming at Pinewood Studios in London. Several set leaks have already confirmed that the X-Men will play a major role in the film. Now, adding fuel to the excitement, Hugh Jackman’s stunt double, Daniel Stevens, has confirmed via social media that he is currently on the Doomsday set.
Some fans were quick to point out that the image might be fake, or at least outdated, since a Deadpool & Wolverine poster is visible in the background. However, one user on X claimed in the comments that they had recently visited the set and confirmed that those posters are still present on location.

If true, this is certainly intriguing. Wolverine doesn’t necessarily need to have a major role in the film, even a brief cameo would justify Daniel Stevens’ presence on set.
There’s also a video that Hugh Jackman posted recently, which shows him training in the gym. Fans quickly started speculating that he is preparing for the movie:

Wolverine’s appearance would also make sense. A few months ago, Marvel Studios revealed part of the Avengers: Doomsday cast, and fans were thrilled to see several former Fox X-Men actors returning to their iconic roles.
So far, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, and James Marsden are confirmed to appear, with Channing Tatum joining the X-Men lineup.
