‘Hunger Games’ Actor Arrested on Charges of Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Intent to Kill
TMZ reports that actor Ethan Jamieson, known for his role in “The Hunger Games,” has been arrested in Raleigh, North Carolina on multiple serious charges. According to court documents reviewed by TMZ, he is facing three counts of assault with a deadly weapon and intent to kill.
The report says the incident happened on March 23. Jamieson is accused of attacking three men, identified in court papers only by initials E.F., J.M., and K.W. Police say a 9mm semi-automatic handgun was involved in the case. The investigation is being handled by Raleigh authorities.
Jamieson is best known for playing the District 4 male tribute in the 2012 “Hunger Games” movie. He was part of the early ensemble cast in the franchise that helped launch several young actors into Hollywood fame.
This is not his first legal issue. TMZ notes that he was also arrested in 2025 for allegedly resisting a public officer. That case led to a sentence issued the following year, according to earlier reports from other outlets.
Before his arrest, Jamieson had a short acting career with several small roles. He appeared on “One Tree Hill” in 2009 and later worked on projects like “The Rusty Bucket Kids: Lincoln, Journey to 16.” His final known screen appearance was in the TV series “Justified” in 2013.
In past interviews, Jamieson spoke about his time working on “The Hunger Games.” He said, “I knew that the books were popular, but I didn’t know that the movie was going to be so big.” He also talked about the atmosphere on set, adding, “There are a lot of good things [about production], but pulling pranks on each other was pretty fun.”
He also mentioned at the time that he did not plan to stay in acting long term and preferred a more normal life outside Hollywood attention.
The case is now moving through the legal system, and more details may come out as court proceedings continue. TMZ is the primary source of the current allegations, based on court documents and law enforcement information.
This is a serious situation, and the outcome will depend on the court process. For now, it remains an active case with major charges involved. What do you think about how quickly actors can end up back in headlines because of past fame? Share your thoughts in the comments.
