Marvel Studios may have another leak problem on its hands. According to reports circulating online, footage from Avengers: Doomsday has appeared on social media before Marvel was ready to release it. While the studio has not officially commented on the situation, several entertainment outlets have reported that the footage appears to be genuine.

The alleged leak has quickly become one of the biggest talking points among Marvel fans. If the footage is real, it offers the first look at something audiences have wanted to see for years: the Avengers, the X-Men, and the Fantastic Four fighting side by side in the same movie.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has spent years building toward major crossover events, but licensing issues previously prevented some of Marvel’s most popular heroes from appearing together on the big screen. Now that Disney controls all of those major Marvel properties, Avengers: Doomsday is expected to finally bring these legendary teams together.

The leaked footage shows Doctor Doom using Sentinels as part of his plan. The giant mutant-hunting machines have long been a major threat in X-Men stories, making their reported appearance one of the most exciting reveals for fans.

Many viewers immediately took to social media to share their reactions. One fan compared the footage to one of the most memorable scenes in Marvel history, writing, “It’s like the portal scenes all over again. All the heroes aura farming before they fight to the death.”

Another fan seemed especially excited by Doctor Doom’s role in the story, posting, “Doctor Doom controlling Sentinels is the kind of chaos I’ve been waiting for.”

The excitement largely comes from seeing characters from different Marvel worlds finally share the screen. For decades, comic book readers have watched the Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four work together in comics. However, movie audiences have never experienced that on such a large scale.

One social media user summed up the feeling shared by many fans, writing, “Watching the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Avengers fight a bunch of Sentinels is gonna be surreal.”

Some fans who claim to have seen the footage also believe Marvel is paying tribute to the original 2012 Avengers movie. Reports suggest there is a large team shot that echoes the famous scene where the camera circles around Earth’s Mightiest Heroes before a battle. This time, however, the scale appears much larger.

Content creator Caboose shared his thoughts online, saying, “Avengers: Doomsday is about to recreate this shot in a way that shows us how far the MCU has come since 2012.”

Despite all the excitement, there is still one important question. Marvel has not confirmed that the leaked footage is authentic. Because of advances in artificial intelligence and digital editing, fake trailers and fake scenes often spread online. However, many fans believe there may be some truth to the leak after reports surfaced that accounts sharing the footage were removed from social media platforms.

Many viewers now believe the footage could be part of the movie’s first full trailer. Industry speculation suggests Marvel may be planning to officially unveil the trailer during San Diego Comic-Con 2026. If that is the case, the leak may have revealed part of Marvel’s marketing plans earlier than expected.

For now, fans are left waiting for official confirmation. Whether the footage is real or not, one thing is clear: excitement for Avengers: Doomsday continues to grow. With Doctor Doom, the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, and the X-Men all expected to play major roles, the film is shaping up to be one of Marvel’s biggest releases yet when it arrives in theaters on December 18.
