Iron Studios Gives Fans a First Look at Its Life-Sized Doctor Doom Statue for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ & the Details Are Incredible as Full Suit Is Revealed
Marvel merchandise has become just as much a part of the pre-release hype cycle as trailers and posters these days, with collectible manufacturers racing to capture every angle of a film’s biggest villain months before audiences ever see them on screen. That race has been especially intense heading into December’s most anticipated Marvel release.
Doctor Doom’s live-action debut has already sparked a wave of collectibles from multiple manufacturers, each trying to offer fans their own definitive take on Robert Downey Jr.’s portrayal of Victor Von Doom. Iron Studios, the Brazilian collectible company known for its hyper-detailed licensed statues, has been especially active in that space throughout the summer.
Now Iron Studios has shared a first look at their life-sized Doctor Doom statue for ‘Avengers: Doomsday,’ offering fans an up-close glimpse of the sculpting process behind one of the most ambitious pieces the company has undertaken for the film. The images show the character’s iconic metallic mask and hooded cloak taking shape in painstaking detail during production.
That level of craftsmanship tracks with everything Iron Studios has revealed about their Doctor Doom lineup so far this year. The company has already unveiled several other scaled statues tied to the character, including a 1/10 Art Scale “Doctor Doom on Throne” piece standing 8.8 inches tall, featuring three swappable hands so collectors can display Doom holding a dark orb, an artifact or striking a spellcasting pose.
Iron Studios has also released a considerably larger 1/4 scale Legacy Replica statue, standing 26.7 inches tall and depicting Doom perched atop a sculpted Sentinel hand. That piece includes two swappable arm options, letting collectors choose between a crossed-arm pose or a display showcasing the character’s mystical abilities, and it’s priced at 1,299.99 dollars through the company’s online store.

The character’s design has drawn particular attention from fans since Marvel first confirmed Downey’s casting, especially given the yellow arm band visible across nearly all of the merchandise revealed so far. That recurring detail has fueled ongoing theories about the character’s connection to the Fantastic Four storyline and his broader role within the film’s multiversal plot.
Iron Studios isn’t the only manufacturer capitalizing on Doom’s impending big-screen debut, either. Companies like Hasbro, SH Figuarts and McFarlane Toys have all pulled back the curtain on their own action figures and statues in recent weeks, giving fans multiple ways to add the character to their collections ahead of the film’s release.
‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is set to bring together heroes from three distinct corners of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including the Avengers, the Fantastic Four and the X-Men, all facing what’s been described as an existential threat unlike anything they’ve encountered before. That scale alone has made the film one of the most anticipated Marvel releases in years, and the sheer volume of merchandise reveals only reinforces how much weight Doom’s introduction is expected to carry.
The film boasts an enormous ensemble cast that includes Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Winston Duke, Tom Hiddleston, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright and Paul Rudd, alongside Downey’s reintroduction to the franchise in a dramatically different role than the one that made him famous. For longtime fans who remember him as Tony Stark, watching him step into the role of one of Marvel’s most formidable villains adds an extra layer of intrigue to every new piece of merchandise that surfaces.
With ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ set to hit theaters on December 18, collectors still have several months to decide which version of Doctor Doom deserves a spot on their shelf, whether that’s a smaller Art Scale piece, the larger Legacy Replica, or whatever life-sized display Iron Studios ultimately brings to market. Given how much detail has already gone into the character’s design across every scale revealed so far, it’s clear manufacturers are treating Doom’s debut with the same reverence Marvel fans have been showing the character for decades.
