‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is the most anticipated MCU movie currently, and the only movie releasing in 2024 as things currently stand. We’ve already heard from several sources that the movie is amazing and meant to reignite some of the faith in the MCU, to get people once again hyped to see the franchise’s movies. There are several reasons for that, the first being the return of Hugh Jackman in the role of Wolverine, something that he seemingly left behind with the ‘Logan’ movie, and the second reason is the fact that Deadpool is joining the MCU for the first time, the previous two movies being a part of Fox’s X-Men universe.

There are plenty of rumors going around that some of the most notable X-Men villains (and members) will appear in the movie, as well as rumors that Taylor Swift will be making an appearance in the movie in the yet-undisclosed role. This is something that even Ryan Reynolds has acknowledged and stayed rather secretive about it. When Jennifer Garner confirmed that she would be returning as Elektra, and Hugh Jackman was confirmed to return as Wolverine, fans quickly started looking at another notable character from previous Marvel movies, and one among them is Marsden’s Cyclops.

Marsden recently discussed his future career prospects and upcoming projects for ‘The Playlist’. The question of whether will he appear as Cyclops in ‘Deadpool 3’ did come up and he was rather secretive about it but he did give his opinion on whether Cyclops and Deadpool would get along:

No I think those two are opposites, but I think they would respect eachother. You know I keep hearing about it, I can’t walk down the street without someone asking me, so evidently, there’s chatter about that, yeah. It would be fun.

Later, Marsden confirmed that he was near the stage where ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ was filming but due to shooting ‘Sonic 3’:

We just wrapped. We were near the Deadpool stages actually over there in Pinewood. Yeah, this is a little bit of a Pandora’s box.

No matter whether Marsden appears in the movie or not, the fans have plenty to look forward to when it comes to his projects as ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 3’ releases on December 1, 2024, and so far, Marsden is proud of what he’s created.
