Jennifer Lopez is looking back at one of her most loved movies while getting ready for a fresh chapter in her career. In a social media post shared on Friday, April 10, the singer and actress gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at her 2002 romantic comedy Maid in Manhattan.

Lopez posted rare photos from the set and remembered the people she worked with on the film. She mentioned co-stars Ralph Fiennes and Stanley Tucci, and also paid tribute to the late Bob Hoskins and Natasha Richardson.

The post brought back memories for many fans who still see the movie as one of her classic roles. She made it clear that the post was not only about the past. Lopez also used the moment to build excitement for her next movie, Office Romance, which will be released by Netflix.

In her caption, Lopez shared how emotional the memories felt for her. So many feelings! Such wonderful memories! she wrote while reflecting on Maid in Manhattan and the people involved in making it.

She then revealed that she feels ready to return to the genre that helped make her a movie star. And now with Office Romance, I am back in my RomCom era. It’s OUR Happy Era!!! Lopez wrote, showing excitement for the new project and thanking fans who have supported her for years.

According to Lopez, this new film will not be exactly like the romantic comedies people may expect from her. She recently explained during a television appearance that Office Romance will have a different tone.

It’s not the typical JLo rom-com that you are used to, like the sweet wholesomeness, she said. Lopez added that the movie has a more playful and grown-up style. She also described it in simple terms by saying, It’s a little raunchy, hinting that the comedy will be bolder than some of her earlier films.

Office Romance stars Brett Goldstein as her love interest. Goldstein is well known for his work as a writer and actor, and he also helped write the script. The cast also includes Tony Hale, Betty Gilpin, and Edward James Olmos.

Lopez is not only starring in the movie but also producing it, showing that she continues to stay deeply involved in her projects. Her move back into comedy comes after several years of taking on different kinds of work.

She is also preparing for The Last Mrs. Parrish, a psychological thriller that will show a very different side of her acting. Before that, she appeared in the film version of Kiss of the Spider-Woman, proving she is still willing to take on new challenges.

Outside of movies, Lopez continues to manage her music career and growing business brands, including beauty and fashion projects. She remains one of the busiest stars in entertainment.

With Office Romance on the way, Lopez seems ready to reconnect with the audience that loved her earlier romantic comedies. But this time, she says fans should expect something a little sharper, bolder, and more modern.
