Jensen Ackles & Timothee Chalamet Team Up as Batman & Robin for a Fan-Made ‘The Brave and The Bold’ Trailer

As soon as James Gunn and Peter Safran took over DCEU and rebooted it into DCU we knew we were going to get a new Batman movie, ‘The Brave and the Bold.’ The biggest question on everyone’s mind is however, who is going to take over the role of Bruce Wayne, as it’s one of the most iconic roles aspiring actors can play in the genre.

Several names come to mind as favorite fan castings, most notably Alan Ritchson, who voiced his desire to play the character several times, quite loudly, and Jensen Ackles.

Jensen Ackles was picked for the most recent fan-made concept trailer to don the mantle of the Dark Knight alongside Timothee Chalamet as Robin. Ackles already voices the character in ‘Tomorowverse’ and he expressed his wish to play the live-action version of the character as well. The trailer shows how two popular actors could look in their respective roles and you can check it out below.

Not much is known about the upcoming movie. On January 31, 2023, James Gunn announced ‘The Brave and the Bold’ as part of the DC Universe’s Chapter One: Gods and Monsters reveal, featuring Batman and his son, Damian Wayne. On June 7, 2023, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Andy Muschietti is the top choice to direct the film, pending the resolution of the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike. On June 15, 2023, Variety confirmed Muschietti’s hiring as the director.

What we know about the movie is that it will be based on Grant Morrison’s series ‘The Brave And The Bold.’ The series follows Batman and his mercenary son. It mostly focuses on Bruce Wayne’s son, who is very hard to control. He wants to try and teach him the ropes, but he can be very difficult sometimes.

James Gunn said that even though the character of Batman is present, they want to focus mostly on Damian Wayne. There is a complicated relationship between the two that will be explored. Gunn described it as „It’s a very strange father-and-son story. “ In any case, we hope you are gearing up for the upcoming DC content that will be coming soon in the next couple of years.
