Even if you can’t see him – and you usually can’t – John Cena seems to be involved in everything. His Merman Ken cameo in ‘Barbie’ received a ton of hilarious reactions from fans across the world. He appeared again as Jakob Toretto in ‘Fast X,’ and even made a WWE comeback for several matches.

We also know that Cena’s Peacemaker is one of the few DCEU characters that’ll also be a part of James Gunn’s DCU, as ‘Peacemaker’  Season 2 is in development. But, it seems that John might be a part of another major project. In fact, Peacemaker could make an appearance in DCU’s greatest rival – the MCU.

As it usually is with John Cena, he posted a photo on Instagram without a caption. The photo is one where Deadpool and Wolverine walk shoulder-to-shoulder on the set of ‘Deadpool 3.’

Now, the photo has been circling the Internet for a while, and Cena probably got it online as we all did. But why would he post a ‘Deadpool 3’ photo on his own Instagram profile? Of course, fans immediately speculated that this means John Cena will make an appearance in the film. Take this with a grain of salt, but the theory may just prove to be correct.

After all, many fans have called for John Cena to portray Cable in the new film – a role previously taken by Josh Brolin – the same actor who portrayed Thanos in the MCU.

Given the fact that ‘Deadpool 3’ will officially cross over into the MCU, it would be kind of difficult to have Brolin repeat his role as Cable in the MCU, seeing that he already played one of the biggest antagonists in the franchise so far. Perhaps John Cena will portray a variant of Cable from a different universe?

It could also just be a small cameo role, like Cena had in ‘Barbie,’ but until more information is revealed, it all remains in the realm of speculation.

‘Deadpool 3’ is hitting theaters on July 26, 2024. Have something to add? Let us know in the comments below!
