Julia Garner Would Do a Silver Surfer Solo Spin-Off Film

The Fantastic Four: First Steps is coming out this summer and based on the recent trailers, the hype for the movie is very high and the fans cannot wait to see what the final movie will look like.
Despite several failed attempts to bring a proper cinematic version of the Fantastic Four, this MCU movie has seemingly cracked the right formula and to be honest, we are looking forward to seeing whether the movie will truly deliver.
But, while fans are generally excited about the movie, it hasn’t been without its fair share of controversies, and one of the biggest “issues” was the female version of the Silver Surfer, who will be played by Julia Garner.
As you probably remember, some “fans” complained about the fact that the Silver Surfer is going to be female in the movie, i.e., that Marvel opted to introduce Shalla-Bal to the MCU rather than Norrin Radd, who is the more famous iteration of the character.
Julia Garner will be playing the character and based on the footage we’ve seen, the talented, Emmy-winning actress will do an amazing job as the character in The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
“She’s so different than anyone I’ve ever played, and that was also another reason why I wanted to do it,” Garner said, and knowing her filmography, we believe her. We don’t know how challenging it was for her, but this is certainly something she hadn’t done before, whish makes it a challenge in itself.
In that same interview, Garner revealed some interesting details about her character and her potential MCU future. “All I can say is that she works for Galactus and that she’s mysterious, and the character will unfold more towards the end of the movie,” she answered when asked about whether we’ll see an origin story for Shalla-Bal in the movie. “That’s all I can say. I know it’s a very Marvel tease, but also it’s like a real tease. I haven’t seen the movie myself!”
When asked about the future, she was not very open about it. “Oh my God, I wish I could answer that question, but I don’t have an answer, honestly. I was just happy to be a part of this movie. But we’ll see,” she said about the potential return of her character in future projects.
But, she would definitely want to do more. “A hundred percent, I would love to do that,” she was quick to answer about a potential spin-off movie. “The Silver Surfer is such a cool character, and I feel like it’s so rare to be presented with any sort of mystery in this day and age. So any kind of energy like that on screen, I know I want to see that, so that would be awesome if that happened.”
