Justice League Unlimited #7: Watchtower Under Siege by the Legion of Doom

Get ready for a wild ride because Justice League Unlimited #7 is dropping on May 28, 2025, and it’s packed with chaos. I couldn’t believe the twists in this issue—it’s a game-changer for the team we all love.
The Justice League is in big trouble. Their famous Watchtower, the space station they use as a base, gets attacked by the Legion of Doom. Gorilla Grodd, the super-smart gorilla villain, leads the charge. He’s not messing around, and the League gets scattered across different times. It’s a mess, with heroes like Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman struggling to fight back.
What really caught my eye is how the Legion of Doom pulls this off. They’ve been the Justice League’s enemies for years, first showing up in the 1970s on the ‘Super Friends’ cartoon. Back then, they were a group of 13 villains, including Lex Luthor and the Scarecrow, who always tried to take down the heroes but never quite won. This time, though, they’re winning—and it’s intense.
The story is part of a bigger crossover called ‘We Are Yesterday,’ which also ties into the ‘Batman/Superman: World’s Finest’ comic. That series has been running since 2022, showing the two heroes teaming up across different adventures. Here, the crossover brings even more stakes, with the Justice League facing destruction and the chance for redemption.
One hero steps up to save the day, and it’s not who I expected. I won’t spoil it, but this character has to call in help to stop the Legion’s attack. The issue is the second-to-last chapter of this arc, so we’re building up to a huge finale. The Watchtower, which has been the League’s headquarters since the ‘Justice League Unlimited’ animated show in the early 2000s, has never faced a threat this serious.
If you’ve watched that ‘Justice League Unlimited’ show, you know the team often deals with big battles, but this comic takes it to another level. The show, which aired from 2004 to 2006, had the League grow to include tons of heroes, even lesser-known ones like The Question. This comic keeps that spirit, with a massive cast fighting to save their home.
I’m really excited to see how this ends in the next issue. Justice League Unlimited #7 is a must-read if you love superhero action and surprises.
