The success of Landman is now paying off for its cast. According to a report from Deadline, most of the original stars of the hit Paramount+ series have secured major salary increases ahead of Season 3 after the show’s strong performance on the streaming platform.

The report says nearly the entire original main cast reached new agreements for higher pay before production on the next season. The only exception is Billy Bob Thornton, who reportedly signed a separate three-year contract when the series began. Because of that deal, his salary already includes standard yearly increases, and he is not expected to negotiate a new contract unless Landman is renewed for a fourth season.

Deadline reports that Demi Moore was in a different situation. Her original contract covered only two seasons, so she recently negotiated a brand-new deal. According to the outlet’s sources, the new agreement includes a significant raise that brings her salary in line with Thornton’s. Both stars are now believed to be earning between $740,000 and $770,000 per episode for Season 3.

The biggest individual increase among the returning cast reportedly went to Ali Larter. Deadline says she took the longest to finalize her negotiations, with an agreement only being completed recently. Most of the other cast members had already settled their new contracts by April.

According to the report, Larter more than doubled her previous paycheck. She is now expected to earn more than $350,000 per episode. In addition to the salary increase, Deadline says she also secured a talent deal as part of her new agreement.

The remaining original series regulars also received large pay raises. While they were not as well known before joining the Taylor Sheridan drama, the show’s popularity has reportedly led to much better contracts for everyone involved.

Deadline reports that Jacob Lofland and Michelle Randolph are among the biggest beneficiaries. Both actors, who became fan favorites through the series, are now expected to make between $130,000 and $180,000 per episode during Season 3.

Paulina Chavez, Kayla Wallace, Mark Collie, and James Jordan are also said to have received sizable raises. While their salaries are believed to be below those of Lofland and Randolph, Deadline reports that each actor more than doubled their previous earnings.

Representatives for 101 Studios, Paramount TV Studios, and the cast declined to comment on the reported salary details.

The report also notes that contract renegotiations like these have become much less common in today’s television industry. In the past, actors on successful shows often received new deals after the second season. However, with studios focusing more on controlling costs, those negotiations usually happen later in a show’s run, if they happen at all. According to Deadline, only the biggest television hits now receive this kind of treatment.

Landman appears to fit that category. The Taylor Sheridan drama has become one of Paramount+’s most successful original series since its debut. According to figures cited by Deadline, the Season 2 premiere attracted 9.2 million streaming views during its first 48 hours, making it the platform’s biggest original series premiere. The Season 2 finale performed even better, reaching 14.8 million views within two days and setting a new record as the most-watched original series finale on Paramount+.

The cast also expanded during the second season with the additions of Sam Elliott and Andy Garcia as series regulars. Deadline notes that if Landman continues its successful run and returns beyond Season 3, those actors could eventually become part of future salary negotiations as well.

With Season 3 on the way and the show’s popularity continuing to grow, the latest contracts show just how valuable Landman has become for both Paramount+ and the actors who helped make it one of the streamer’s biggest hits.
