Leak Reveals Superhero Team Name for Hawkgirl, Green Lantern, and Mister Terrific in ‘Superman’

Superman is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated movies of the year, if not the most anticipated one. Even those who are not fans of superhero movies know about this revitalization of the Superman story and how it is extremely important for the future of the DCU.

And while the titular hero is in focus, the movie will feature a plethora of other important DC characters, among which are also Hawkgirl (Isabela Merced), Guy Gardner (Nathan Fillion), and Mister Terrific (Edi Gathegi)

It’s unclear what kind of role the heroes will have in the movie, but Gunn assured us that the story will focus on Superman alone, with other characters having notable contributions that won’t pull the attention away from Superman.

Now, notable industry insider Daniel Richtman reveals on his Patreon that Hawkgirl, Gu,y, and Mister Terrific will sort of have their own team in the movie, and they will be called the Justice Gang, a humorous spin on both the Justice League and Injustice Gang. The name Justice Gang is clearly a tongue-in-cheek play on both of those team names. It blends the nobility of the Justice League with the chaotic, sometimes silly vibe of the Injustice Gang.

This is something that we would honestly be expecting from James Gunn.

Superman is scheduled to be released theatrically on July 11, 2025. It is set to be the first film of the DCU’s Chapter One: Gods and Monsters.
