Leaked Concept Art Reveals What the Cancelled ‘Black Panther’ Game Could Have Been

A bunch of concept art and some story details from the cancelled Black Panther game have apparently leaked online, giving fans a glimpse of what could have been. The leak came from an EA survey that was supposed to be confidential, but a user on X named notfunEman shared what they saw.

According to the post, players would have stepped into the shoes of Azari, the son of T’Challa. But he wasn’t the only character you could play as, there were going to be more. The user described a scene they saw during the survey, which kicked off with Azari taking on T’Challa in a ritual-style fight, something that felt very familiar to scenes from the Black Panther movies.

The fight gets interrupted when a Skrull ship suddenly crashes in and kidnaps T’Challa. That’s where the scene cuts off.

The concept art gives more hints about the game’s direction. Some of the early images include rough sketches of Azari, Skrulls, and Wakandans. Later images show a more polished view, with Black Panther looking at a holographic world map and a high-tech Wakandan city.

The third batch of concept art shows different areas of Wakanda. There’s what seems like the snowy mountains of the Jabari Tribe, a city, some ruins, and a jet flying over a desert. The world looked big, detailed, and full of potential.

Fans are already sharing their thoughts online, with many wishing the game had made it past the early stages. Judging by the art and the little plot info that leaked, it looked like it could’ve been something special.
