Legendary Star Wars Actor Passes Away at 64

Tom Kane, the legendary voice actor known for bringing some of the most iconic animated characters to life, has died at the age of 64. According to TMZ, Kane passed away surrounded by his family, years after stepping away from acting following a stroke in 2020.

Many fans knew Kane best for his work in the Star Wars universe. He voiced Yoda in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, a role that became hugely popular with longtime viewers of the franchise. Over the years, his version of Yoda became just as loved as the character seen in the original films. Kane also voiced Admiral Ackbar in Star Wars: The Last Jedi and worked on several other Star Wars projects throughout his career.

His voice could be heard almost everywhere in entertainment. Kane worked on major franchises including Marvel projects, Call of Duty games, The Powerpuff Girls, and even Disney Parks attractions. According to reports, Kane retired from voice acting after suffering a serious stroke in 2020 that affected his speech. Despite leaving the industry, fans continued celebrating his work online and revisiting many of the projects he helped make memorable.
