Batman has been a fixture in the LEGO catalog for 20 years, and the Batmobile has been among its most reliable stars. The Dark Knight’s ride has appeared in many forms, from Tim Burton’s 1989 car to the vehicle in ‘The Batman,’ and the shelves are already crowded with versions.

Even so, one major era has been missing from the lineup. Rocksteady’s ‘Batman: Arkham’ video games, which began with ‘Batman: Arkham Asylum’ in 2009, have collectively sold more than 32 million copies, yet none had been turned into a LEGO set until now.

On October 5, a first look at the first-ever LEGO set based on the ‘Batman: Arkham’ games, noting the price will be $29.99, was revealed. The image shows the box for set 67009, the Arkham Batman Batmobile, listing 317 pieces and an age rating of 9+, alongside the finished model and a Batman minifigure.

The set builds a single Batmobile and comes with one Batman minifigure. LEGO describes it as the Arkham Trilogy Batmobile, inspired by ‘Batman: Arkham Asylum,’ ‘Batman: Arkham City’ and ‘Batman: Arkham Knight.’ Blocks Magazine notes that it most closely matches the vehicle as it appears in ‘Batman: Arkham Knight.’

To mimic the game’s chunky, tank-like car, the model features working suspension. Stonewars reports that the set also includes a new Arkham Batman minifigure.

The set comes with a code that unlocks a red brick in ‘LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight,’ giving characters a gold glow. That is a neat bit of crossover with the video game that arrived in May.

LEGO’s official announcement puts the set at $29.99 in the US, £26.99 in the UK and €29.99 in Europe. It goes on sale January 1, 2027, at LEGO.com, LEGO Stores and other major retailers, and Stonewars lists a retirement date of December 31, 2028.

The set is part of a trio of Batman releases revealed this week. The others are the Batman Returns Batmobile & Duck set, priced at $59.99, and a Joker wall art piece based on Jock’s cover for ‘Detective Comics’ #880, which Game Rant lists at 1,849 pieces and $169.99. All three are being shown at New York Comic Con.

The pricing puts the Arkham car in line with other small Batmobile sets from recent years. Brick Fanatics noted that this year’s Batmobiles based on ‘Batman v Superman,’ ‘The Batman’ and ‘Batman & Robin’ also cost $29.99, and Screen Rant observed that those sets range from about 220 to 330 pieces.

The Batmobile has special significance in this franchise. ‘Batman: Arkham Knight,’ released in 2015, was the game that introduced the car as a playable vehicle, used for transportation, puzzle solving and combat.

Brick Fanatics pointed out that this will be the first LEGO Batmobile based on ‘Batman: Arkham Knight.’ Rumors of the set circulated for months, with Screen Rant reporting on a leak from Brick Tap News earlier this year. The official reveal confirms the details.

The timing also feels well planned. ‘LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight’ launched May 22, 2026, with an Arkham Trilogy Pack that adds a Batmobile and suits, and critics compared its combat to Rocksteady’s games. Eurogamer’s Christian Donlan called it a Lego take on the Arkham series, while Push Square described it as a Rocksteady game of the 2010s in brick form.

For longtime fans, the set is also a reminder of how long it has been since a major Arkham release. The most recent entry is the virtual reality game ‘Batman: Arkham Shadow,’ which came out October 21, 2024, and a report said Rocksteady was working on a new Batman game, though neither Rocksteady nor Warner Bros. has confirmed it.

Until then, a $29.99 brick-built Batmobile may be the closest fans get to the Arkham era in physical form. At this price, it’s also an easy way to add a piece of the series to a shelf.
