Liam Neeson & Zachary Levi’s Explosive Iran-Set Thriller Gets New Title and Release Date
Liam Neeson and Zachary Levi’s upcoming action thriller has a new name and a confirmed theatrical release date. The film, which was previously titled Hotel Tehran, will now be released as The Fix and is set to arrive in theaters on September 11.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Inaugural Entertainment has picked up the movie for a wide theatrical release. The project is directed by Guy Moshe, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Mark Bacci and Ron Hutchinson.
The Fix is set around a dangerous mission in Iran and follows a group of former CIA operatives trying to make up for a past failure. The story focuses on Larry, played by Liam Neeson, and Tucker, played by Zachary Levi, as they travel to Tehran for a risky rescue operation.
The team is hoping to recover from a failed Afghanistan mission, but their new assignment quickly becomes a fight for survival. Along with Neeson and Levi, the film stars Quincy Isaiah, Wes Chatham, Jake Choi, Augusto Aguilera, Navid Negahban, Elnaaz Norouzi, Grant Harvey, Lara Wolf, Annet Mahendru and Titus Welliver.
Director Guy Moshe said the film was created to explore more than just action scenes, focusing on the emotional impact and difficult choices that come with war. “The Fix was born from a longstanding desire of mine to put audiences inside the chaos and moral weight of war, not just the action of it,” Moshe said.
He also praised the cast for bringing a deeper human side to the story. “Working with an ensemble cast that was entirely committed to our cause, led by Liam and Zac, who set the tone, allowed me to push the story into deeply human territory while still delivering the visceral, large-scale filmmaking this genre demands,” the director added.

He added that the movie combines action with emotional storytelling, saying it features “intense, edge-of-your-seat spectacle with real emotional stakes.”
The film was produced by Astral Future along with Latigo Films and Dreamtime Films, with support from several production companies including Oakhurst Entertainment, BondIt Media Capital, Eyevox Entertainment, Blue Rider Media and Thomasville Pictures.
Producer Zamias said the team felt Inaugural Entertainment was the right company to bring the movie to audiences. “Our intention was to make an entertaining, character-driven action thriller that is both timely and timeless, and as producers we are extremely proud of the cast and crew that coalesced around Guy’s vision,” he said.
The Fix is expected to arrive in theaters nationwide on September 11, marking another action role for Liam Neeson and a new big-screen thriller for Zachary Levi.
