Marvel fans have spent the better part of the year piecing together scraps of footage, leaked clips, and convention exclusives, all while waiting for the one thing that mattered most, an actual trailer they could watch on repeat. Every skipped marketing opportunity only added to the pressure building around this release.

That pressure has been building for a reason. ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ represents the culmination of nearly a decade of Marvel storytelling, bringing together heroes from three separate cinematic eras into a single, sprawling crossover event unlike anything the studio has attempted before.

That wait is finally over. Marvel Studios has officially released the first full trailer for ‘Avengers: Doomsday,’ giving fans their most complete look yet at the film ahead of its December release. Alongside the trailer drop, tickets went on sale for Infinity Vision, a brand new certification for premium large format theaters designed to guarantee bigger screens, brighter images, and stronger sound for the film’s theatrical run.

The trailer wastes no time establishing the stakes. Robert Downey Jr’s Doctor Doom narrates much of the preview before the spotlight shifts to Chris Hemsworth’s Thor, setting the tone for a film built around a genuinely existential threat to the Marvel multiverse. Patrick Stewart’s Professor X sets the mood early, warning that something is coming that the heroes may not be able to deter, and that before the day is done, they will face an unthinkable decision.

From there, the trailer moves through a series of standout moments that fans have been waiting years to see. There is a clash between Shang-Chi and Gambit, a face off between Yelena Belova and Mystique, and a long-awaited reunion between Thor and Steve Rogers, who returns for the first time since ‘Avengers: Endgame.’ Hemsworth’s Thor even acknowledges the scale of the threat directly, admitting the team is going to need a miracle to bring Doom down.

Loki also makes a brief appearance in his TVA attire, a detail that has already sparked plenty of fan theories given where the character was last seen. The trailer saves its biggest moment for the end, with Thor finally confronting Victor Von Doom directly, giving fans their clearest sense yet of how personal this conflict is about to become.

Interestingly, this appears to be the same footage that premiered exclusively at CinemaCon back in April, meaning the wider public is only now catching up to what a smaller group of attendees saw months ago. Descriptions of that sneak peek circulated for weeks, but nothing quite captured the scale of actually watching it.

The trailer highlights nearly every confirmed member of the film’s massive ensemble, spanning Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Winston Duke, Tom Hiddleston, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, and Robert Downey Jr, among many others. Several cast members, including Wyatt Russell, Simu Liu, Tenoch Huerta Mejia, Mabel Cadena, Florence Pugh, Danny Ramirez, David Harbour, Hannah John-Kamen, and Lewis Pullman, are all making their debut within the Avengers franchise specifically.

Notably absent are any Spider-Man or Wolverine-shaped surprises, at least for now, though Marvel has a long history of holding its biggest cards close until the very last moment.
