Marvel Studios and DK Publishing have revealed a comprehensive visual companion for everything in the MCU’s Multiverse Saga, and it is arriving just in time to send fans spiraling about spoilers ahead of December’s main event.

Inner pages from ‘From Endgame to Doomsday: A Marvel Studios Visual Dictionary: Avengers, Allies, and Foes’ were shared this week, showing detailed spreads covering Ghost, Ironheart, Bucky Barnes, Shang-Chi, Katy, Sam Wilson’s Captain America, and H.E.R.B.I.E., and the book is officially available to pre-order now.

The official release date for the book is November 10, arriving a little over a month before ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ opens in theaters on December 18, giving fans just enough time to absorb everything before the Multiverse Saga’s penultimate chapter. Written by Liz Marsham and published through DK, the 128-page hardback is priced at $30 and chronicles the events that have transpired in the MCU since ‘Avengers: Endgame,’ covering original Avengers, emerging powerhouse teams including the Thunderbolts and the Fantastic Four, character profiles, locations, vehicles, weapons, and easter eggs.

The book’s cover puts the spotlight on Chris Evans’ Captain America, standing alongside Thunderbolts leader Yelena, Shuri’s Black Panther, and the Fantastic Four’s Thing and Galactus. That lineup alone signals just how much the Multiverse Saga has expanded the cast of the MCU since Tony Stark snapped his fingers in 2019.

The timing of the book’s release has raised an interesting question in the fan community. While the imagery inside is drawn from previous MCU projects, the book may contain details that will be directly relevant to ‘Avengers: Doomsday,’ meaning that anyone who reads it carefully before December could find themselves holding what amounts to a spoiler document a month before the film lands.

This is not the first time Marvel has released a visual compendium ahead of an Avengers film, with a previous Marvel Studios Visual Dictionary covering the franchise’s first three phases before ‘Endgame’ was released. That precedent suggests the new book will aim to be genuinely informative rather than deliberately evasive, which is exactly what makes it a potential spoiler risk.

Keeping up with the Multiverse Saga has been considerably more time-intensive than following the Infinity Saga, with important story events spread across both films and Disney+ exclusive TV shows, making the visual dictionary a viable shortcut for fans who want to feel prepared without committing to a full rewatch of Phase 4, 5, and 6.

‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, written by Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely, and brings together an ensemble including Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Florence Pugh, Pedro Pascal, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, and many others. For anyone who needs a guided tour of where the MCU stands before that lineup walks onto the screen, this book is arriving at exactly the right moment.
