Even though the development of numerous projects in Hollywood is currently on pause due to the WGA strike, the fans of movie and TV entertainment are still looking forward to projects that have been previously announced. Marvel Studios has put the development of the upcoming movie Blade on pause and temporarily stopped the production of Daredevil: Born Again.

So far, there’s no telling if the WGA strike will affect already-announced release dates, but if AMPTP and WGA don’t reach a deal soon, we might need to prepare for certain delays, which will be pretty complicated for MCU since most of the projects need to be released in planned order.

Although the Black Widow movie was originally set to kick off Phase 4 back in 2020, the pandemic of COVID-19 delayed all the upcoming movies. Therefore the project that opened Phase 4 was the WandaVision series on Disney+ in January 2021. More than two years since its release, Marvel Studios is developing two spin-off shows — Agatha: Cover of Chaos and Vision Quest.

Vision Quest release window revealed

According to the initial plan, which will most likely change, Agatha: Coven of Chaos is set to premiere on Disney+ in early 2023 or late 2024. That initial plan is likely to change because of the WGA strike and because Marvel Studios is reconsidering its release plan for TV shows since too many of them were released during 2021 and 2022.

As for the Vision Quest, while we know it’s in development, no release window was ever officially revealed. But now, according to Jac Schaeffer’s WGA Directory, Vision Quest is set to arrive sometime during the 2024-2025 TV season, so in either late 2024 or during the first half of 2025. Jac Schaeffer served as the creator, head writer, and executive producer on WandaVision, and she also signed a deal with Marvel Studios for Agatha: Coven of Chaos and Vision Quest.

Not much is known about the Vision Quest apart from the fact that it will follow Paul Bettany’s White Vision after the events of WandaVision. As we know, White Vision absorbed the memories of the original Vision in the series finale, and he left Westview before Scarlett Witch defeated Agatha. It’s unknown where he went and what’s he doing, but we presume that Vison Quest will set up his eventual return to the big screen as the new Vision after the original one was killed (twice) in Avengers: Infinity War.

The next MCU series is Secret Invasion, which is set to premiere on Disney+ on June 21. Loki Season 2 is also expected to premiere this year, but it’s unknown if Iron Heart and Agatha: Coven of Chaos, which are also set to premiere by the end of this year, will indeed premiere as it is initially planned.
