Netflix continues to reshape its TV lineup in 2026, with a steady mix of renewals, final seasons, and cancellations across its biggest original shows. The information comes from official announcements, showrunner statements, and entertainment reporting that tracks Netflix programming updates.

The streamer regularly adjusts its slate throughout the year, and 2026 has already seen major decisions affecting popular titles like Emily in Paris, The Lincoln Lawyer, The Night Agent, and My Life with the Walter Boys. Some of these shows are continuing, while others are approaching their final chapters or being quietly removed from the platform’s future plans.

One of the biggest updates is for the animated action series Devil May Cry. It has been renewed for a third and final season.

Showrunner Adi Shankar explained the long-term structure of the story in a statement, saying, “For those of you who have been paying attention to the episode names, I have been showing you the structure the entire time. This was always Dante’s Divine Comedy with guns and a red coat. Season 1 was Inferno. Season 2 was Purgatorio. Season 3 will be Paradiso. These three seasons make up ‘The Force Edge Saga.’”

Not all updates are positive. The game show What’s in the Box? has been quietly canceled after just one season. According to TV journalist Matt Webb Mitovich, “I am hearing there are no plans at this time for more episodes of the Neil Patrick Harris-hosted game show.” The cancellation was not heavily promoted by Netflix, which is sometimes the case with smaller or newer shows.

On the renewal side, sports docuseries Quarterback is returning for a third season. The new episodes will follow several NFL players, including rising stars and established veterans. The series continues to focus on life inside professional football and the pressure on quarterbacks during the season.

Another renewed series is Big Mistakes. Creator Dan Levy confirmed its return and said, “Very grateful and beyond excited to continue the Big Mistakes adventure and my creative collaboration with Netflix. Season 2 is already in the works and it’s going to be WILD.”

Teen drama My Life with the Walter Boys has also been renewed again, even before its next season has aired. Showrunner Melanie Halsall said, “It is beyond exciting to be returning to the world of Silver Falls for a fourth season. Our characters continue to grow and evolve, and we have so many delicious, romantic, sexy and messy stories to tell.”

Reality content is also staying strong. Running Point has been renewed for a third season, while dating show Love is Blind is confirmed to return for season 11, with a new location planned in Boston.

Some shows are ending instead of continuing. The Lincoln Lawyer has been renewed for a final season, meaning season five will close out the story. Similarly, The Night Agent will return for another season, but it will be its last.

Reality series Temptation Island is also continuing with season three after a quick renewal following its recent return.

Overall, Netflix’s 2026 decisions show a clear pattern. Some shows are being extended due to strong performance, while others are being wrapped up or quietly dropped. The platform continues to balance long-running hits with new experiments, adjusting its lineup based on audience response and viewing data.
