Netflix Drops Epic Trailer for Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano Showdown

Most Valuable Promotions has released the official trailer for its first MMA event, which will be headlined by Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano. The event is set for May 16 at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles and will stream live on Netflix.

The trailer is about one minute long and shows highlights from the full fight card. It puts a strong focus on the main event between Rousey and Carano, who are both coming back to MMA after long breaks from competition. Rousey last fought in 2016, while Carano has not competed since 2009.

The card also includes other big names from combat sports. Francis Ngannou will face Philipe Lins, and Nate Diaz will take on Mike Perry. Both of those matchups add more star power to the event, which is being promoted as a major crossover night for MMA.

The lineup also features fights such as Salahdine Parnasse vs. Kenneth Cross and Junior dos Santos vs. Robelis Despaigne. On the preliminary card, fans will see matchups like Muhammad Mokaev vs. Adriano Moraes and Jason Jackson vs. Jeff Creighton, among others.

According to the information shared in the trailer and promotional material from Most Valuable Promotions, this event brings together fighters from different backgrounds, including UFC veterans, PFL competitors, and BKFC fighters. Francis Ngannou is also making his first appearance in an MVP MMA cage after his time in the PFL.

The event trailer ties everything together with a focus on high-profile comebacks and crossover fights. It also connects to a separate Netflix special called Countdown: Rousey vs. Carano, narrated by Uma Thurman, which gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at both fighters’ training camps.

In that special, commentary is expected from figures like MVP co-founders Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian, along with combat sports journalist Ariel Helwani.

Rousey vs. Carano remains the centerpiece of the entire event, with both fighters returning after more than a decade away from active MMA competition.
