New Fan Theory Confirms the Depths of Agatha’s Depravity – She May Have Sacrificed Her Son
When Kathryn Hahn first portrayed Agatha in ‘WandaVision’ fans were truly impressed by her performance, and by the lengths that Agatha was willing to go to to acquire power.
Although portrayed through humor, if the latest fan theory proves to be correct, MCU will take Agatha through a really dark and evil path.
In the comics, Agatha Harkness was never portrayed as a straight-up evil character, she was more on the morally ambiguous side. She has fought alongside the Fantastic Four and Avengers. She even served as the nanny to Franklin Richards, the son of Reed Richards and Sue Storm, showing that she has been trusted by superheroes.
But, as I’ve said before, the latest theory might prove that Agatha can’t be trusted by anyone, especially by her own family. In the first episode, while Agatha is still acting as Agnes, she can be seen entering a room in her Westview House that looks like a kid’s room.
A name can be seen on the plaque Nicholas Scratch. Nicholas Scratch is Agatha’s son in the comics, and the two have an extremely difficult history with both of them trying to kill each other at several points, mostly due to Nicholas turning out to be straight-up evil.
The theory states that Agatha sacrificed Nicholas in the MCU to acquire Darkhold, and one of the biggest giveaways is the fact that Darkhold can be seen in what appears to be a child’s crib.
There’s also that extremely antagonistic interaction that Aubrey Plaza’s Rio Vidal has with Agatha. Plaza already hinted that there is a lot of charged past between the two characters in the show, it’s possible that Rio and Agatha raised Nicholas together until Agatha decided that the power is more important.
It’s also quite possible that Agatha turned her son by accident into her pet rabbit Senor Scratchy, which could also cause a great deal of regret.
