New Reports Reveal Midnight Sons Members in the MCU, and the Lineup Is Insane

Share:

A couple of months ago, there was talk that Marvel Studios was developing the ‘Midnight Sons’ project and that the upcoming ‘Blade’ reboot is supposed to tie into that project.

Midnight Sons would include characters that never appeared in ‘The Avengers,’ and Doctor Strange allegedly would not be a part of the team.

Now Cosmic Circus’ Alex Perez revealed via his Discord AMA the possible members of the Midnight Sons as well as some frequently mentioned possible members according to his inside sources:

I’ve heard Wong, Moon Knight, Ghost Rider, Blade, Werewolf by Night, & Man-Thing as the most repeated names by sources as part of the team roster. Other names I’ve heard, from most to least likely, include Black Knight, Scarlet Scarab, Elsa Bloodstone, Dr. Strange, and even Agatha Harkness. But if I had to guess how many members I’d expect for this team lineup, I’d say between 6-9 members.

While most of these names are not surprising at all, this means that MCU will have to introduce a lot more superheroes in the next few phases, despite their plan to slow down the creative output and focus on “sure hits.”

Not much is known about the project, and it’s never been officially confirmed by the studio but plenty of insiders claim that the project is in development. No director has been found as of now but Federico Álvarez has been one of the most talked about names in the context of the film.

Federico Álvarez is a Uruguayan filmmaker recognized for his work on movies like ‘Evil Dead’ (2013) and ‘Don’t Breathe’ (2016). He gained early acclaim for his short film ‘Ataque de pánico!’ (2009). Álvarez’s latest project is ‘Alien: Romulus’ currently in post-production. You can see why Álvarez seems like a good fit for this project.
