It’s been over four years since Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers, the original Captain America, passed his iconic shield to his friend and teammate Sam Wilson. The ending of ‘Avengers: Endgame’ gave Steve Rogers a happy ending and opened the way for Anthony Mackie’s Falcon to become the next Captain America. However, as we’ve seen in 2021’s ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,’ Sam initially refused to take the shield but ultimately decided to become Steve Rogers’ successor after it became obvious that the US government wouldn’t let the shield stay in the museum.

The six episodes of the ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ series on Disney+ depicted Sam Wilson’s transition from Falcon to a new Captain America. The series also introduced Joaquin Torres, who is now set to become a new Falcon, and John Walker, who eventually became the US Agent after he proved to be unworthy of Captain America’s shield. The ending of the series has set up the continuation of Sam Wilson’s story in the fourth ‘Captain America’ movie, which is set to hit theaters next year.

The Serpent Society reportedly won’t be the main villains in the fourth ‘Captain America’ movie!

The fourth Captain America movie was reported to be in development shortly after the conclusion of ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.’ The movie was officially announced by Kevin Feige as ‘Captain America: New World Order’ at 2022’s San Diego Comic-Con. Earlier this year, the title was changed to ‘Captain America: Brave New World.’

Thanks to images that leaked from the movie’s set, we found out that the Serpent Society will be present in the movie. However, according to a known leaker, Daniel RPK, the Serpent Society will be what Crossbones was in ‘Captain America: Civil War.’ In other words, the Serpent Society will appear only in the movie’s first act, but their appearance will still have an impact on the movie’s plot overall.

‘Captain America: Brave New World’ is starring Anthony Mackie, Danny Ramirez, and Carl Lumbly, who are all reprising their roles from ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.’ Tim Blake Nelson and Liv Tyler are returning to the franchise for the first time since 2008’s ‘The Incredible Hulk’ as Samuel Sterns and Betty Ross. Harrison Ford has joined the movie as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, replacing the late star Willaim Hurt, and Shira Haas is set to debut as Sabra, the first-ever Israeli superheroine.

Directed by Julius Onah, ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ is scheduled to be released on July 26, 2024.
