Greek filmmaker Yannis Veslemes brings a surreal, sci-fi grief odyssey to North America as ‘She Loved Blossoms More’ opens in select theaters and on digital on Friday, October 3. The story follows three brothers who build a time machine to resurrect their late mother, only for the plan to spiral when their father intervenes, plunging the family into a psychedelic collision of past and present. U.S. distribution is handled by Dark Sky Films, with international sales by Yellow Veil Pictures.

Veslemes directs and co-writes with Dimitris Emmanouilidis; the cast includes Panos Papadopoulos, Julio Katsis, Aris Balis, Sandra Abuelghanam, Alexia Kaltsiki, and Dominique Pinon. Behind the camera, Christos Karamanis serves as cinematographer and Yorgos Mavropsaridis as editor, with Fenia Cossovitsa producing.

Opening Friday, October 3 as a limited release, ‘Peas and Carrots’ blends musical and sci-fi elements in the tale of Joey Wethersby, a 16-year-old New Yorker who slips nightly into an alternate reality where everyone can only say three words: “Peas and Carrots.” As Joey navigates this strange world, she pushes her family—former one-hit-wonder musicians—toward a new band and a new beginning.

Written and directed by Evan Oppenheimer, the film stars Kirrilee Berger, Amy Carlson, Jordan Bridges, and Andrew Polk, with Blue Harbor Entertainment among the companies involved. MovieInsider lists the release details and principal cast ahead of the film’s theatrical bow.

Disney’s next chapter in the Grid arrives in theaters on Friday, October 10. ‘TRON: Ares’ follows a sophisticated program, Ares, who’s dispatched from the digital realm into the human world—kicking off the franchise’s first true “program-in-our-world” story. Joachim Rønning directs from a screenplay by Jesse Wigutow.

Jared Leto leads a cast that includes Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Jodie Turner-Smith, Hasan Minhaj, Arturo Castro, Gillian Anderson, and Jeff Bridges returning as Kevin Flynn. Nine Inch Nails composes the score, with production by Walt Disney Pictures and release via Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

Guillermo del Toro’s adaptation premiered in competition at the Venice Film Festival on August 30, followed by a limited U.S. theatrical release on Friday, October 17 and a global Netflix debut on Friday, November 7. The film presents a gothic science-fiction take on Mary Shelley’s classic, tracking a brilliant but egotistical scientist whose creation upends both their lives.

Del Toro writes and directs, with a cast led by Oscar Isaac (Victor Frankenstein), Jacob Elordi (the Creature), and Mia Goth (Elizabeth Lavenza), alongside Christoph Waltz, Charles Dance, Felix Kammerer, Lars Mikkelsen, and David Bradley. Dan Laustsen handles cinematography, and Alexandre Desplat composes the score.

Yorgos Lanthimos’ ‘Bugonia’—an English-language remake of Jang Joon-hwan’s ‘Save the Green Planet!’—premiered at Venice on August 28 and is slated for a U.S. theatrical release on Friday, October 24 (limited before expanding). The plot centers on two young men who kidnap a powerful CEO they suspect is an alien planning Earth’s destruction.

The film stars Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons, with Alicia Silverstone among the ensemble. Produced by Element Pictures, Square Peg, Fruit Tree, and CJ ENM, with Focus Features distributing in the U.S. and Universal handling international territories, ‘Bugonia’ reunites Lanthimos with longtime collaborators including cinematographer Robbie Ryan and editor Yorgos Mavropsaridis.

Based on Ubisoft’s stealth-action video game franchise, the show follows Sam Fisher as he returns to the field to mentor a new operative amid a sprawling global conspiracy. Derek Kolstad (the creator of ‘John Wick’) serves as creator and executive producer.

The voice cast features Liev Schreiber as Sam Fisher, with Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Janet Varney (as Anna “Grim” Grímsdóttir), and Joel Oulette among the ensemble. The series is directed by Guillaume Dousse, with animation by Sun Creature and Fost; Netflix’s show page lists additional cast and credits.

The sixth and final season of ‘Solar Opposites’ lands on Hulu on Monday, October 13, bringing the sci-fi sitcom’s saga to a close. The new season follows the Shlorpian family—Korvo, Terry, Yumyulack, and Jesse—as they juggle Earthbound chaos and one last round of out-there sci-fi hijinks.

Executive producers Mike McMahan and Josh Bycel return with the voice cast including Dan Stevens (Korvo), Thomas Middleditch, Mary Mack, and Sean Giambrone. The season also promises a conclusion to the long-running “Wall” storyline, with returning guest voices like Tiffany Haddish, Kieran Culkin, Christina Hendricks, and more.
