New ‘Star Wars’ Book After ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ Will Focus on Finn and Jannah

A brand-new Star Wars book has been revealed, and it takes place after the events of The Rise of Skywalker. The book is titled Star Wars: The Last Order, and it will be released on October 21, 2025. It will follow the characters Finn and Jannah on a new journey together.
The book is written by Kwame Mbalia, a bestselling author. This is his first full Star Wars novel. He previously wrote a story for the From A Certain Point of View: Return of the Jedi anthology.
The publisher, Penguin Random House, shared a short description of the story. The novel will follow Finn and Jannah as they go on a mission after the fall of the First Order. They are trying to find a First Order officer who kidnapped a group of young passengers. The Resistance rescues the children, but the officer is still out there and could be a threat to others.
