Nintendo Reveals Switch 2 Pro Controller in New Video

The Nintendo Switch 2 is coming out very soon and at this point, we know most of the important things, including the price and the release date, as pre-orders are online around the world.

And while the prices of the console and the games have been discussed extensively online, Nintendo is continuing its promotion with new console-related merchandise that some fans will definitely want to get.

One such piece of merchandise is the new Switch 2 Pro Controller, which has just been showcased in a new official video that you can check out here.

The video does not reveal much, but for those who will want to get their hands on this controller, this will certainly be enough and a nice way to see what can be expected of the upcoming item.

The new model is not that different from the old one, but there are some significant changes. For starters, there are two additional buttons on the back of the device labelled ‘GL’ and ‘GR’ that can be mapped to whichever input you desire. The device will also have a headphone jack at the bottom, which will make the acoustic experience much better. Also, the buttons will be a little larger and the grips a bit slimmer.

As for the sticks, we already know that the new controller won’t have the Hall Effect technology, but the sticks have nevertheless been improved and will allow for smoother gameplay.

The controller is coming out on the same day as the console, and the retail price suggested by Nintendo is $84.99.
