Official Trailer for John Travolta’s Directorial Debut ‘Propeller One-Way Night Coach’ Released
The official trailer for Propeller One-Way Night Coach has been released, giving fans a first look at John Travolta’s directorial debut. The information comes from Apple TV, which also confirmed the film’s release date.
The movie is written, directed, produced, and narrated by John Travolta. It is based on his 1997 family book with the same title. This project is also a family affair, since it stars his daughter, Ella Bleu Travolta.
The film will premiere on Apple TV on May 29. Before that, it was also shown at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, where it was listed among the official premieres.
In the trailer, Travolta’s narration describes the story as “an experience I would never forget.” The film follows a young aviation fan named Jeff, played by Clark Shotwell, who boards a special cross-country flight.
The journey takes passengers through several cities, including Pittsburgh, Chicago, Kansas City, Denver, and Los Angeles. The flight is not ordinary, as it turns into a long and unusual trip filled with different people and unexpected moments.
Ella Bleu Travolta plays Doris, a flight attendant on board. In one scene, Jeff gets excited about simple things during the flight, like “eating a hot dog at 600 miles an hour,” while Doris smiles at his reaction.
According to Apple TV’s official description, the story is about a “one-way cross country odyssey to Hollywood, which transforms a simple flight into the trip of a lifetime.” It includes unusual stopovers, interesting passengers, and a look into first-class travel in a different way.
The cast also includes Clark Shotwell, Kelly Eviston-Quinnett, and Olga Hoffmann.
John Travolta has spoken before about his love for aviation, saying it inspired him to create the original book. That passion now carries into this film version, which mixes storytelling with personal meaning.
The film arrives globally on Apple TV on May 29, marking Travolta’s first time directing a feature film.
