Reason Reportedly Revealed Why MCU Will Focus on the Street-Level Stories in the Next Several Projects
With Phase 4 the Multiversal Saga began, which was supposed to focus on the overwhelming danger of Kang the Conqueror and teach the Avengers a thing or two regarding meddling with time travel and universes.
‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ bit into the subject within the Quantum realm, and the story has gained additional severity in the ‘Loki’ season 2. Now that ‘Ant-Man’ flopped, and Majors has been dismissed as Kang due to being found guilty of assault, speculations have been running rampant that the MCU will focus on a different villain and on more grounded stories.
If Alex Perez, notable scooper & leaker is to be believed, Marvel is still assessing how to deal with the Multiverse, and we can definitely expect more street-level stories, with the sole exception being ‘Deadpool & Wolverine. This was revealed during the Discord Q&A.
Right now, Marvel is reassessing how to handle the Multiverse, which is why they’re focusing on street-level stories for the time being, with the sole exception of Deadpool & Wolverine. It is still my impression that Marvel still wants to use Kang and his variants to face off against the Avengers, but there is one antagonistic presence that Marvel is building up to, which will impact the Kang Dynasty by the time they arrive.
This aligns with what we’ve recently reported on, that Kang is still the primary villain in the MCU but they are slowly looking for an entry to introduce a new danger, possibly a more severe one.
The street-level projects already kicked off with the release of ‘Echo,’ which canonized Netflix’s Defenders Saga. There’s also the upcoming release of ‘Daredevil: Born Again.’ ‘Spider-Man 4’ will also, according to the latest reports be a street-level story. What do you think about that?
