‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is the hottest upcoming MCU release, for a few good reasons. The movie is rumored to include numerous cameos & variants, it’s Deadpool’s first foray into the MCU, and it’s the movie that managed to pull Hugh Jackman out of his Wolverine retirement. It’s also rumored to lead into ‘Secret Wars’ but we’re going to take this with a grain of salt.

Among those mentioned cameos & variants, one more has been confirmed recently that fans clearly did not expect.

In the latest episode of ‘Welcome to Wrexham,’ which premiered on May 23, viewers saw Rob McElhenney visit Ryan Reynolds on the set of ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ in London. Although the footage from the set was mostly blurred, fans received an exciting update about the documentary.

Reynolds revealed that McElhenney was invited to the set to discuss Wrexham matters due to his busy schedule. When offered a role in the film, McElhenney eagerly accepted.

Shawn Levy is shown in the footage, excited to have McElhenney on set. Reynolds mentioned he couldn’t disclose McElhenney’s character for fear of the “Marvel drone assassination. Adding to the intrigue, McElhenney wore a large jacket to conceal his costume, while Reynolds appeared in his Deadpool outfit. You can check out the footage below:

We have no doubt that Rob’s role will be humorous in nature. ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is set to premiere in the United States on July 26, 2024, as part of Phase Five of the MCU.
