Robert Pattinson Is Reportedly Eyed for a Villainous Role in ‘Dune: Messiah’

As you probably know, Denis Villeneuve is currently completing the screenplay for Dune: Messiah, the third and final part of his Dune trilogy, which will adapt Frank Herbert’s sci-fi epic.
After two successful movies, everyone is expecting Villenueve to complete the trilogy on a high note, and knowing his meticulous approach to his films, we are certain that Villeneuve will deliver a masterpiece.
And while we still don’t know much about the upcoming movie, a recent rumor suggests that Villeneuve is eyeing a major A-lister for a villainous role.
As you probably know, Dune: Messiah is expected to start shooting this summer, which is very soon, especially considering that the final version of the scrpit hasn’t been handed in yet.
And while we know a lot of returning cast members, it seems that Villeneuve is already looking at new names for the movie, despite still working on the scrpit. A new rumor suggests that Robert Pattinson is being eyed for the role of Scytale, a villainous one, in the movie.
Pattinson is currently filming The Odyssey with Nolan and is expected to start work on The Batman: Part II with Matt Reeves later this year. In that aspect, we don’t know whether he’ll have the time for Dune in the meantime, but it will probably depend on how big of a role Scytale will have in the movie.
The prospect certainly looks very interesting and we are going to keep you up-to-date with all the news, so be sure to keep following us for more!
